Ok, but the small Baptist (SBC) church that I attended until recently had no problem sending dozens of people on international short term missionary trips/vacations several times a year. They professed to be a conservative congregation but could never get the money together to send someone to Convention

@BaptistLeaders Small church pastors son here. My parents went to San Antonio in 88 as messengers. Doubled as a family vacation. They had to borrow money to go and we tent camped. It’s really hard for small churches to send anyone and it’s not really on most churches radar unfortunately.

If you are a Protestant who feels the need to deride individual Catholics as members of a Satanic cult who are all going to Hell, know this: many Catholics think YOU are the ones going to Hell. In my journey out of and back to the Roman Catholic Church, I spent YEARS in multiple evangelical "Word Churches," and I promise you that the cults of personality that arise in those churches are every bit as evil and ungodly as anything one sees in the Catholic Church. When you go out of your way to demonize people who belong to the Church founded by Jesus Christ in AD 33, you serve only the purposes of Democrats, who viciously seek to create hatred between Christians as a means to regaining political power. Members of Christian denominations need to respect each other's beliefs, or at least not demonize them, because to do otherwise is to do the bidding of Barack Obama and David Axelrod (who created this crisis of faith intentionally).

I’ve covered Eric Swawell since he was a member of the Dublin City Council. Shortly after being elected to Congress in 2013, his behavior towards women was known by all levels of our local government and the Alameda County Democratic Party.

I was just talking about this with another mom the other day. We both have young teenagers who seem absolutely terrified of even talking to somebody of the opposite sex. They don't definitely don't do platonic friendships. I read IKDG in high school and thought it was very strange. My family was familiar with the Harris family from the homeschooling world. The Harris fam would go to the conferences and all the homeschool mommies would line their girls up hoping to catch a Harris boy. Yuck

I grew up in the “kiss dating goodbye” culture. While I understand the reasons behind it, it did cause a lot of unintended issues. This was helpful as I think through how we are gonna present/help our kids with dating as they enter the teen years.

The Dems have always known this about Swalwell. For YEARS. The reason this is coming out only now is that California has this crazy "jungle primary" system for electing its governor, there are a bunch of Democrat candidates and only two GOP candidates, so as a result a Republican named Steve Hilton leads in the polls at the moment. Thus, the Dems need to kick out some of their candidates, and Swalwell is the most vulnerable with these claims, so he is the target. With the Democrats it's never about what's right, it's only about power.

If I inherit anything from my parents I plan on passing the bulk of it to my children immediately. My grandmother is still alive and well in her 90s and I expect that one or both of my parents will live until I am well into my 70s. I'm not planning on needing an inheritance (would be foolish to need, or plan on, an inheritance that late in my life) from them and it will give me great joy to hand it off to my children and their children

The average age of inheritance is 61 years old. All it mostly does is fund the children's own retirement.

I am about the furthest thing from an indoctrinated leftist but, as an elder millennial, I am very concerned about housing prices. I am okay with my housing, but I really worry about how my kids are going to afford to buy a house. Looking at my parents generation (boomers) they did have more structural things working in their favor. My dad was a retail worker, never went to college, who could afford to buy a house in a very desirable neighborhood for around $75k in the 1970s. Now, houses in the neighborhood where I grew up average around $2.5 million. No way a single salary retail worker with no college degree can afford to buy one now. Heck, my husband and I, as degreed, professional white collar workers (I'm a SAHM now) can't afford to buy there. Illegal immigration is a huge problem, and I'm also opposed to most legal immigration as well, but immigration is not solely, or even largely, responsible for runaway home prices
