People forget just how much went wrong for the Kansas City Chiefs offense last season… and how good they still were 👀 Let’s break it down: • Rashee Rice missed 9 games and was coming off a torn ACL • Xavier Worthy missed 3 games and played the entire season on a torn labrum • The Chiefs were the least explosive rushing offense in the NFL • 1st-Round LT missed 9 games • Highest-paid RG in the NFL missed 5 games • Starting RT missed 5 games • RB1 missed 4 games And despite ALL of that… The Chiefs were still a Top-8 offense before Patrick Mahomes tore his ACL. That’s honestly remarkable. Now look at where things stand: • Offensive weapons healthy • Offensive line healthy • Matt Nagy out as OC, Eric Bienemy returns • Super Bowl MVP as RB1 • Two 1st-round picks will be added to the roster • Another full offseason to build chemistry And don’t forget — NINE one-score losses defined last season… not the team’s true ability. That’s not a team that was far away. That’s a team that was a few plays away. If the Chiefs can add a 1st or 2nd Round WR, then this offense has a very real chance to reach 2022 Chiefs levels again 🔥 They will never admit it, but the rest of the league is terrified 😈

@dudenamedslip I hope Veach has the option to trade down, if he doesn't, I would take the best player available which would probably be Caleb Downs (An Eric Berry Clone). Then take Edge with the 29th pick, still good value later in the draft at that position.

@kent_swanson @Conner_DKC Chiefs can't draft a outlier or the exception of a historical sports trend/metric at #9 @kent_swanson. Comparing McDuffie and Bain is disingenuous due to short arm DBs still having a ELITE history like Rondé Barber, Eric Allen, Aeneas Williams etc.

Trent McDuffie had crazy short arms but the tape was outstanding, and he found a way to still be an impactful outside corner. Bain's arms are short but the tape is exceptional.

Love the Khyiris Tonga signing for KC. Not only is a basic improvement for the run D up the middle but the fit is great. Spags wants attacking NTs who can get into gaps THEN control space/fall back into another gap. Tonga has really good initial knock-back & burst to do that.
