Happy Lunar New Year! And for me it's double the reason to celebrate — it's also my birthday. 🎂🐴 Last year I set goals and I failed. I'm not going to sugarcoat it. I didn't put in the work and I let myself down. But that stops today. This time I'm going in 100%. No excuses. First — Comics. I want to make comics. But instead of jumping straight into a 24 page book I'm going to start with 1 page. Just one page. Then build up to 5 pages. And hopefully down the line I'll get to that full 24 pages and beyond. You gotta start somewhere. 🎨 Second — Writing. And this one is personal. Growing up the library was like a second home to me. I would walk in in the morning, pick up a book and not put it down until the library closed. Biography, politics, sci-fi, fantasy — anything that caught my eye. When I got internet access I was deep into webnovels and light novels. I loved reading. But somewhere along the way I stopped. Now I just doom scroll on social media like everybody else. I need to stop that. I need to go back to reading. But more than that — I want to write. I want to create. My goal is to start a short story before the end of this month. 📚 Third — My health. It's not great right now and I'll be honest about that. I need to cut back on the junk food, start eating healthy, get my body moving and get my sleep under control. No more excuses. It starts now. 💪 Fourth — Creating in other mediums. I want to get into game design first. Starting small with GDevelop 5 and RPG Maker MZ. I also want to learn how to make and edit videos. And maybe — just maybe — dabble into music. I doubt it but with AI and Vocaloid who knows. I'll have to see. 🎮🎬🎵 Fifth — Just being a better person. More present. More intentional. More helpful to others. Simple as that. 🌱 It's the Year of the Fire Horse. The Horse doesn't stop running. Neither will I. Last year is done. Today on my birthday and the Lunar New Year I start over. For real this time. ✨

@cirnosad Why would someone think that sitting in a fuel box would be safer from rocket fire? These Baal Worshippers are weird...

In Nahariya, Israel, someone stayed in his car to avoid Hezbollah's rocket fire... but the rocket landed on his car. Ded'd.

@QuantumGuard17 You’re still trying to process that video that’s from 2025? Interesting. Or, are you just posting this old video as new to desperately distract waffling MAGA from the reality that Trump lied to them? Since this “bombshell” led to zero action, I think that’s quite clear.

@TLAVagabond Great lifestream and Journalism last night and the one the day before. I know it is demanding to make a Daily back to back. But many people including I noticed and appreciate it:)

🚨 SOMETHING FEELS OFF Watch him closely. • Arms and hands barely moving • Face stiff… almost frozen • Long pauses… staring straight ahead This isn’t Trump’s usual energy. Something’s different. People are starting to notice. What do you see?

Ikaruga: The ultimate video game review. This Japanese game, Ikaruga (斑鳩), is arguably the best video action game ever made in all of history, or at least its genre. I won't discuss the mechanics of it, as this has been done by countless reviews, needless to say the game is mechanically and visually perfect in every conceivable way. The immersion is enhanced by the seamless symbiosis between these, and the orchestral sound track. But that's not why I'm finally writing more about it. Little appreciated by reviewers and players is the underlying message that cannot be understood without diving deeply into philosophy and the rest of the games made by the developer (Treasure): * The duality of light and darkness, and the void that overcomes both disguised as infinitude. This is turned into a game mechanic and is part of the story. You cannot defeat the game without constantly using both the light and dark phase of your ship. The enemy is the seemingly infinite which while providing all the energy, also rots everything into nothing at the same time. This same duality is highlighted in the real and ideal many times throughout the game. The key quote appears in the game as: "You can't feel the visible things. How can you feel the invisible things?" * The cyclical nature of history, which is integrated deeply into the story and its predecessor Radiant Silvergun. Just like our world, in Ikaruga the premise is the complete destruction of the world and its rebirth through numerous cycles. The predecessors of the characters in Radiant gun were killed and recreated by the void along with the world. But in Ikaruga, it was to be the final cycle, unless the void warrior was destroyed. Incidentally, to finish the game properly (with a single credit), you have to cycle through it a seemingly infinite number of times, learning a little each time. The skill to clear the game on its hardest setting is so high that only a few dedicated players have ever done so. * The central theme of the game is incredibly deep, it's about martyrdom and faith in overcoming what is real to achieve what is truly ideal. Each level comes with a poem, ending with the final chapter "metempsychosis" which means resurrection and transmigration of the soul after death. Finally, Karma returns to the place once belonged. It recalls the genesis of consciousness carved for abyss of memories. Hence Ikaruga is going. . . The last line is featured in the same poem at the start. At first it seems to speak to the game and the struggles of the character, but as you play the game you realise the author was speaking directly to you. I've watched and played much media from the western world, and even the eastern world. But none of them came close to the artistic and spiritual perfection that is Ikaruga. I cannot recommend the game enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ /End --- Is this what we wished for? Don’t worry, we will understand each other some day. And the life is succeeded into to the distant future.

The perfect game exists and its name is 斑鳩 (Ikaruga). The "story" consists of poems at the start of each level along with the ending and the hard to understand computer voice on-board, which is revealed at the end to be the voice of a deity.

DNA is really so crazy, have y'all heard that story about the woman who had a baby with her husband and when he got a DNA test done he wasn't the father the mother insisted he was the dad so much so that they repeated the test numerous times the couple got divorced and the man refused tor be in the child's life it later came out based off the DNA results that he wasn't the father but the uncle of the child which was impossible because he was an only child after a more extensive DNA test they found out the husband was actually a chimera which essentially means he had a twin brother that he ate in utero essentially absorbing his DNA. So basically the unborn, twin brother was the father even though the husband bore the child.
