Solution: scrap comics as canon. Make it clear who new show is about. Save Buffy to end of ep to make it clear this is a new generation. (Similar to Luke appearing at end of Force Awakens)

Watching the internet reaction to this stuff is really interesting. So many people are like “the script sucked!” Maybe (I didn’t read it and have no opinion) but Hulu picked it up and shot it. If the problem was the script why wouldn’t they address it before throwing millions of dollars at it?

Help settle something for me:
Two cars are travelling from London to Cardiff and back using the same route at the same time. The red car does the entire journey at 60mph. The blue car does the first leg to Cardiff at 50mph then speeds up and completes the return leg at 70mph.

In terms of adults reading for pleasure 2 hours a day = about 100 books per year.
96% of adults in USA read less than 50 books per year.

@MarkDee85 @EdrowScape @mpershan Why is it any harder than the other focused tasks we make 8-9 year olds do in school, like times table worksheets or cutting fine shapes out of construction paper? It's all about practicing focus. Obviously you start with blocks of 10-20 minutes with breaks.

I'm going to start recording the number of people who keep saying this. Anything is possible but I' m not just optimistic about May's elections I'm more optimistic about their ramifications. As happened after last year's local results another large chunk of Tory voters will 'permanently' move to Reform as it becomes more obvious we're the only party capable of stopping Labour governing again or of it forming a leftist coalition.

@FishySeems @Knightly_Hist Same. There’s so many misses in season 7 (Littlefinger’s demise, lack of Jon/Dany chemistry, nothing interesting happening in KL, the pointless plan to try and get Cersei to help against WW). Ironically, I enjoyed S8 more. Definitely in minority on that one.

@Knightly_Hist It was strange to watch the last season with friends who were casual fans because I had already gotten over the series’ extreme decline several years prior. They had the exact same opinions as that graph. Everything was peachy to them until the series ended.

This only shows that audiences only perceive loss in quality once a show completely falls apart, the decline itself isn't noticed, only it's lack of a satisfying finale.

@Wanga14 @BenRiceTeach No one and no one is advocating for that. When pupils hold up whiteboards I’m firstly checking for participation. I’m then checking answers of key pupils most likely to struggle. I then know whether pupils are ready for next part of lesson (Independent Practice in jotter).

@BenRiceTeach I read their work whilst they are doing it and react based on sampling. Who reads 33+ mini whiteboards in one go? Performative and useful only in limited circumstances

A better indication of learning will be asking the same question at the start of the next lesson (or a very similar one testing same skills).
Also try using “Low Stakes” quizzes during last lesson of week.
