Announcing the 2025 Recipients of the Dicey Scroggins Distinguished Advocate Award The IGCAN and IGCS are honored to recognize three extraordinary leaders whose work is transforming gynecologic cancer advocacy around the world: 💜 Eva-Maria Strömsholm (Finland) – A rare ovarian cancer survivor and global advocate, Eva-Maria brings compassion, resilience, and deep expertise to her work with major international cancer organizations—ensuring that even the rarest patient voices are heard and empowered. 💜 ISGOPPI (Ireland) – The Irish Society of Gynaecological Oncology Public and Patient Involvement group, co-founded by Dr. Sharon O’Toole and Yvonne O’Meara, has built a powerful model of partnership between patients and professionals, transforming care, research, and awareness in Ireland and beyond. 💜 Nefa-Tari Moore (USA) – A three-time cancer thriver and Director of Black Women’s Outreach at SHARE Cancer Support, Nefa-Tari leads national efforts to support and center the voices of Black women impacted by uterine cancer, creating lasting change through education, activism, and policy leadership. These awardees carry forward the legacy of Dicey Scroggins through their courage, collaboration, and unwavering dedication to equity in cancer care.
