So far, the IDF has announced strikes against four bridges along the Litani River, aimed at undermining Hezbollah’s ability to use these crossings as necessary routes for the transfer of operatives and weapons under civilian cover into southern Lebanon. On March 18, 2026, the IDF reported additional strikes against two more bridges of significance to Hezbollah: one in the Al-Qasmiyeh area (Qasmiyeh Bridge) leading toward the city of Tyre, and another located south of the village of Qaaqaaiyet El Jisr (Qaaqaaiyet El Jisr Bridge). Additionally, according to unverified local reports, an alternative crossing in the Borj Rahhal area was also targeted. As previously noted, on March 13, 2026, a strike targeted the Zrariyeh - Tayr Filsay Bridge, followed on March 14 by an additional strike against the road leading to the Khardali Bridge, which connects Marjaayoun and Nabatieh.

Lebanon Update - IDF pushes Hezbollah out of Ayta ash-Shab: > On the night of March 16th, the 401st Armored Brigade of the 162nd Armored Division advanced deep into Ayta ash-Shab under the cover of artillery, air/drone strikes, and machine gun fire. The main axis of advance was from the northern point of the town. Over the past 2 weeks the IDF has seeped into the junction between Qouzah and Ayta ash-Shab and is now using it as a staging ground for such attacks. > Sources affiliated with Hezbollah claimed there were fierce clashes in the town overnight, but today they only mentioned reports of explosions. Some Lebanese sources misunderstood the nature of these explosions. Rather than airstrikes, the IDF is already beginning the process of systematically destroying every single structure in the town. > Footage geolocated by @Stinky915846091 shows the 46th Battalion of the 401st Brigade demolishing structures in the center of the village. This implies complete IDF control of the village. The process of manually laying explosives at structural weak points requires that the surrounding regions be free of hostile threats. > Channel 11 reported that the Shia villages adjacent to Israel's border will undergo the same demolitions as Rafah and eastern Khan Younis. During the 2024 invasion Israel destroyed tunnels built under house in Ayta ash-Shab and they bulldozed some particular tall buildings that overlooked the Israeli border. However, most of the houses in the town were still standing, although they weren't hospitable. Now the IDF plans on bringing down these houses as well. > The deployment of the 162nd Division to Ayta ash-Shab strengthens my belief that the 98th Paratroopers Division is being sent to al-Khiam. The 98th Division is supposed to join the fighting within the next few days, and then we'll find out for certain. But previously the 401st Armored & 84th Givati Brigades were operating near al-Khiam. It seems like that was a temporary measure it allow the 91st Territorial Division to fully focus on the Bint Jbeil sector. > There weren't any other major advances over the past 24 hours, but Hezbollah is starting to confirm gains that I reported on earlier. They claim to have destroyed 7 Merkava tanks and D9 bulldozers in the Jabal Amel Project neighborhood in soutern Taybeh with ATGMs. They also launched mortars towards IDF positions in the Khiam municipal building and prison. Hezbollah holdouts are still present in the northern part of the town, although they are taking heavy casualties.
