This morning, I had the opportunity to check on the progress of the ongoing construction at the Bomas International Convention Complex (BICC). I am incredibly impressed and satisfied with the steady progress and speed of execution being made ahead of the Africa-France Summit next month. Our strategic focus on the MICE sector (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) as led by H.E @WilliamsRuto remains an anchor of our tourism growth strategy. Through such infrastructural developments which boost our capacity to host over 10,000 delegates with world-class facilities, we are ensuring that Kenya remains the top choice for international summits and business travel in the region. The BICC will not only preserve our rich cultural heritage at Bomas but will also serve as a modern engine for economic growth, creating jobs and opening new investment frontiers. The future of Kenya’s conference tourism is bright! Magical Kenya is ready to host the world 🇰🇪 @Bomasofkenya

Mombasa skyline is quietly telling a story. The city has accidentally created a new attraction, fibre optic cables hanging like Christmas decorations on power lines. If ISPs share the same roads, same customers and sometimes even same backbone infrastructure, why is every company stringing its own cables? Imagine the chaos if water companies or sewer systems did this. It would be poor planning, however in tech, we call it “competition.”

In June 2023, as Chairman of the Budget Committee, Ndindi Nyoro defended doubling VAT on fuel from 8% to 16%. Now, the same government reduces it back to 8%. This is a dramatic policy reversal that undermines Nyoro’s previous economic arguments. #FuelPriceDrop #EndTheWar
