Another season of covering the Celtics comes to an end. It's been a fun ride. Different, but fun - both for the Celtics, us as fans, and myself individually. I haven't been part of the discourse much this season, especially on here. BUT, I've loved watching this team overachieve throughout the regular season. Sucks they couldn't get it done last night, and this is how it ended. From a personal standpoint, this season has been a weird one. I've produced some stuff I'm really proud of, and have had some really cool interviews. But by not being part of the discourse - primarily on here, a lot of it went unseen. I'm ok with that. Slow growth is still growth. The Celtics Chronicle has become a Substack Bestseller, and while the subscriber list hasn't jumped massively, the community has been amazing. Truly grateful for that. YouTube/Podcasting has been tough. It's taken a while to get back into the swing of things, rebuilding after losing everything, really hit hard during my (four-ish year) rough patch...We're back now. It's going to be a fun, but question-filled summer. Do the Celtics need to make big moves? Or will some smaller deals bridge the gap? Do they need to move away from so many threes (this question will never go away in the Mazzulla era), or is there more to be done in generating better ones? We'll have the draft. Free agency. Summer League. There'll be trades, new signings, and decisions on a lot of the bench rotation who have team options. It doesn't feel like it right now, but there's a LOT to look forward to. For me, I've got to take a leaf out of the Celtics book and become more steadfast in my approach. I'm either part of the discourse on here or elsewhere, can't keep hopping in and out. Consistency was something I prided myself on, gotta get back to that. I've spent the past four years feeling like I was falling off, letting go of the dream. I think after this series, we can all relate to that in some way or another. But, what doesn't kill you shouldn't slow you down. Here's to another offseason ahead of what will be my 10th? (I think) season covering the team I love. The team we all love. And the team that we hope wins the chip. Appreciate everyone who has, does, will, or continues to rock with me. Go Celtics!

@AdamTaylorNBA Hard not to imagine Simons hitting at least of 9 consecutive misses at the 99-96 point

Is Vucevic the first legitimate trade miss of the Brad POBO era? I’m talking strictly from a basketball standpoint. Financially, it was a solid move

Every season since 2014 Vucevic was a 15/8 center at his worst 23/12 at his best and instead of designing sets around his skillset you bury him on the bench and bench him in game 7. Pretty damn sure Brad didn't trade Simons for Vucevic to sit him on the bench. Joe's seat is on 🔥

Cue the Green Team narratives. 1. It was a GAP year blah blah blah 2. Tatum was hurt you can’t blame Joe 3. Embiid played out of his mind etc etc They choked. Joe has been out coached by Spo, Thibs and Nurse when it has mattered most. To quote Eddie House you let them beat you in this place 3 times and that’s pathetic!!!

@BostonLIrvin what I tell ya...when things get tight they panicked and fell back on bad habits. 99-98 with the ball on a 3 on 2 break and jacked up a contested 3 then started firing up 3's and never stopped. One of the most disappointing playoff L's in Celtics history.

Embiid is limping and they settled for 3’s and missed a bunch of open shots!!’ Should have attacked him and taken the twos

Embiid gets more whistles than a beautiful woman walking by a construction site.

Find someone who loves you as much as Neemias Queta loves fouling.

How was that not an AND 1 for JB? Watching these Sixers calls on minimal often questionable contact is maddening enough but White, Queta and Brown were fouled on their last 3 buckets. Maxey grabbed White, Embiid shoved Queta underneath and Oubre fouled JB!!!

@JackSimoneNBA How many of the fouls on Embiid were legit? Give me a %? I’d say maybe 15% how can they control terrible officiating other than letting him do whatever he wants and losing by 25

The Celtics have given themselves a chance. Hugo Gonzalez changed the energy. Derrick White has been incredible. Jaylen Brown has steadily improved. They just need to make shots. And get stops. And stop fouling Embiid.

Neemias Queta was one of the best screeners in basketball this season. Not sure what's happened this postseason.

When Philly is switching and you get Queta with Maxey (2 fouls) on him on the block you must take advantage of that and give him the ball. Happened too many times and not a single pass came his way.

Hauser maybe, but Queta certainly didn't foul Embiid there. That's an awful call.
