@ZiaYusufUK You're taking it really well that she's still there, and that people generally quite like her. You don't look bothered at all. Definitely. Not in the slightest. Manly, manly man that you are. Grrr.

@DamCou I am very much waiting to hear how the probably sympathetic council staff are to his divestment plans once they realise he wants to shift their pension funds from US real estate and arms manufacturers to people who make hemp trousers and vegan puddings.

@JackWDart I repeat, you literally have the worst voice for doing this sort of thing. Find something more suited to your ‘abilities’, I beg you.

Reform's election results do not prove they dominate the country. Their vote share fell, they control around 6% of councils, and Farage has a net favourability rating of minus 38. The media narrative of inevitability serves Reform far more than the facts do.

@CageFooName Most of them won't even be competent enough to be corrupt, which is the most amusing part. You have to know what you're doing to be corrupt. My lot in Kent still think they need council motions to do stuff when they run the bloody thing.

Here's my prediction for the next few months. We will see only in Reform UK councils that Jack Bauer has only got 24 hours to foil a terrorist plot that could really shake up not just the White House but the entire of the USA and the BBC will ignore as much of it as possible!

@Jebadoo2 I agree on Burnham, but don't think Starmer did the 'work' in opposition, either. Didn't build a proper policy platform, nurture his backbenchers, and he put the wrong people in charge. Rosie Duffield said he told her he saw opposition as a waste and I can entirely believe that.

Unpopular though the PM is, it was him who transformed the Labour Party and delivered a landslide, now you can plausibly say that's because the Conservatives imploded, but the fact is Starmer did the work in Parliament while Burnham was nowhere to be seen.

Today I’m pleased to appoint @GordonBrown as my Special Envoy on Global Finance and Cooperation. As Britain’s longest-serving Chancellor, Gordon is well placed to work with our international allies to build a stronger Britain and boost our country’s security and resilience.

@Keir_Starmer @HarrietHarman Oh you must be doing this on purpose. Like you've decided to just burn it all down now and make the most catastrophic decisions out of spite. Found anything else for Mandelson to do yet?

I’m delighted to appoint @HarrietHarman as my Adviser on Women and Girls. Harriet is a strong advocate for women and girls and I know she will deliver greater opportunity for women in public life. I’m committed to tackling structural misogyny that is a barrier for too many women and girls. I look forward to working with Harriet to drive forward action on this important issue.

@CageFooName Three of the four most incompetent colleagues I've ever had went to Cambridge. The fourth had been over-promoted because she was having an affair with the boss.

Genuinely find it shocking that for some people going to university actually gave them the notion that people who go to uni are smarter than people that don't go to uni. It's the one lesson you learn that is completely untrue

@VintageMrHobbes @Prosper_UK_ Honestly, these fucking people: 'All the Tories need to do to win is appeal to the 6% of the population that is comprised of well-off centrist sensibles and fought over by all the other parties, while ignoring literally every other issue... particularly immigration concerns!'

Farage said he would wipe out the Tories. He hasn’t. But it’s clear from early results, the Conservative coalition of 2019 can't be rebuilt because Reform is not going away. The route back is something akin to the 2015 coalition built on trust on the economy and a pro business approach. Sign up today: prosperuk.com

Reform UK were rejected by more than 70% of voters yesterday, and the media is treating the result as terminal for Labour while almost entirely ignoring the fact that most people said no to the hatred, the division and the bigotry. That is the actual story.

What will really help the Government media operation right now is a video from Darren Jones 'explaining' the election result and why the solution to how people are feeling is digital ID.

@CurtisDaly_ 'Did charities for them' is, amusingly, about as official-sounding as whatever Zack's actual role was, which was also clearly not what he said it was.
