They take down the flag because they wish to erase all Palestinian presence. And they have the army and police on their side.
Palestinian Flags Aren’t Illegal in Israel. They Still Get Torn Down. nytimes.com/2022/07/30/wor…

The court recognised the settlers' claim to the land, despite it being owned by Palestinians, using a little-known section of military law known as “market regulations” ow.ly/qKGY50K77H4

@m4xim1l1an Too right it is time they apologised and compensated.

But will there be consequences?
Will these NGOs be compensated for the slander/false accusations? Will the state of Israel be pushed to make a statement that they fucked up?
Perhaps it’s time to require more than just fancy statements..

REVEALED: Document proves that the land where the U.S plans to build its embassy in Jerusalem was stolen from four Palestinian families in 1948. End U.S complicity in Israeli colonization & apartheid.

@SecBlinken @POTUS That's lovely @SecBlinken and @potus. Please give my best wishes to the apartheid war criminals your country supports, (as confirmed by the UN and various media), and let them know there are consequences for their ongoing actions. And what about Shereen Abu Akleh?
English

I will join @POTUS on his visit to Israel, the West Bank, and Saudi Arabia July 13-16. The President and I will meet with regional leaders to discuss common interests and shared concerns, including regional security and countering common threats.
English

@Mondoweiss @POTUS you know in your heart what is the right thing to do. DO IT NOW.

Joe Biden once vowed to make Saudi Arabia a “pariah,” but now he is looking to rebuild relations and many expect normalization with Israel to be on the agenda. bit.ly/3y4G6et
English

@Mondoweiss @SecBlinken. Tony, you now have three independent reports by Al Jazeera, NY Times, Washington Post, and more recently the UNHCR. All come to the same conclusion. Stop with the weasel words AND DO SOMETHING.
English

Secretary of State Antony Blinken continues to claim the facts “have not been established” in the killing of Shireen Abu Akleh. bit.ly/3zOuUnu

@Mondoweiss Weasel words by the US State Dept. re Israel as usual.

“Morally speaking, how much should this military occupation go on, generation after generation?” reporter Said Arikat asks State Department after an inhumane incident in the West Bank. bit.ly/3zR5KEP
English

@Mondoweiss Time to act is now Messrs Biden and Blinken. This is not one rogue soldier but a state sanctioned killing that is illegal. If not state sanctioned, then why change the narrative? Actions have consequences and in this case the consequences need to be severe.

A Washington Post investigation openly disputes shifting Israeli “claims” about who killed Shireen Abu Akleh, and all but accuses the Israeli army of withholding evidence that its soldier killed her. bit.ly/3NJzMyo

@ArielElyseGold Is there ever any attempt to disarm and arrest?
English

It’s immoral to “neutralize,” aka shoot to kill, but it’s what Israeli soldiers do.

Thank you all.

@thornhillguy @KhaledAbuToameh @AIPAC Hi Morris. Would you be kind enough to recommend some reading to broaden my mind on the Israel/Palestine situation. I would rather be better informed than accused of ignorance or anti semitism. Bless.
