Zelenskyy has picked the wrong side in the US-Israeli/Iran war. He’ll get no thanks from Trump and he has alienated many European supporters. How stupid is he to support an illegal war, while he seeks help to defend Ukraine against an illegal war? Should have stayed silent.

Trump Eyes Korea Withdrawal. Half of America Reaches for the Constitution. The question hanging over Washington this week is whether Donald Trump is about to pull 45,000 American troops from South Korea. The short answer is nobody knows. The longer answer involves Kim Jong-un, a compliment, and a cabinet that has stopped asking difficult questions. Trump’s reasoning is straightforward: Kim has been nice to him, Seoul should pay more, and why are American soldiers protecting someone else’s country anyway. His generals’ reasoning is equally straightforward: those troops are the only thing standing between a nuclear-armed dictatorship and a catastrophic miscalculation. The Korean War never officially ended. That detail tends to get lost. Back home, the 25th Amendment is trending again. Former Trump insiders are calling him clearly insane. Democratic senators spent Easter on the phone to constitutional lawyers. The train is visibly leaving the rails, and the people watching it happen are running out of track. Whether the troops actually move remains to be seen. But the fact that it is a genuine open question, in April 2026, tells you everything about where we are. Gandalv / @Microinteracti1

@Choyaa13 Have you not been paying attention… He says he is His supporters say he is MANY Christian leaders say he is He’s now the global face of Christianity… Seems “some what mad” to me…but it is what it is VERY LITTLE push back from Christianity…I assume most are “happy enough”

Key food commodity prices since US-Iran war started: 🍚 Rice: ⬇️ -6.3% 🌾 Wheat: ⬇️ -0.5% 🥫 Soybean: ⬆️ +0.6% 🌽 Corn: ⬆️ +2.7% As with everything else in this war, all depends on escalation. But talk about a "food crisis" or a "food shock" is premature.

Always amazed at the complacency in Ireland around the risk of democratic backsliding. The main opposition party has an un-disbanded private army, doesn't recognise the Irish state's defence forces as the only legitimate army, still glorifies its private army's past killings, has the objectives below in its constitution and plenty more that make it unique in terms of large European political parties.

👀 Blimey @energy_said (one of the smartest energy analysts around) calculates that if oil continues to be disrupted as it is today it "would push prices upwards by $1/bbl per day, until prices surpassed $250/bbl, while almost zeroing global GDP growth." Totally catastrophic.

It’s actually a bad thing that 40% of people’s salaries go on paying for homes that have gotten *smaller* since the Second World War while they were increasing in size across the rest of Western Europe.
