@bengrossbg @PAHoyeck @olivertraldi The sections of A Theory of Justice are too clear for libertarians to have misread it so badly.

@rbnmckenna86 @olivertraldi I’m realizing now I ought to have ranked Rawls lower
English

@olivertraldi @PartTimePhilo In what world is Rawls easier to read than Descartes—or Berkeley for that matter?
English

@PAHoyeck I was going to ask where you would rank Habermas

@LIgfried Plato is challenging but he presents his ideas very clearly. But, for example, The Metaphysics and The Posterior by Aristotle are very difficult and not clear at all. This is why there are so many interpretations of Aristotle’s texts.
English

The idea that Plato is super readable and Aristotle is extremely difficult is a weird meme that makes no sense. Several of Plato's dialogues are quite challenging and most of Aristotle's shorter works are pretty accessible.

@PaulGofaone @moriah_bridges It is really a great book
English

@PartTimePhilo @moriah_bridges I read Gorgias a few years ago and it changed it my life! That's where I started and now I am making my way through the list.
English

@WoosterJeeves2 I haven’t read enough of Wittgenstein
English

@olivertraldi Rawls I can understand but Macintyre is pretty clear
English

@PartTimePhilo I would put both Macintyre and Rawls much lower.
English

@Xaviers_brain Christine Korsgaard! Only the greatest Kantian there ever was or ever will be.

English

@PartTimePhilo Who is Korsgaard? I like tier S with Plato and Russell Augustine

@PartTimePhilo In their original languages, or in English

@JungianPeater True of The Groundwork but not The Critique
