@theThinkInst @thecredoproject Yep. My mom was like that. Grew up Catholic, told by her uncle (a Monsignor) to read & believe her Bible, and 25 years later discovered she'd been a Calvinist her whole Christian life. No wonder she wanted to name me Blaise (after Pascal), though my dad vetoed it.

@TheMuppetPastor I have this weird, related idea that we can oppose abortion, sexual perversion, Islam and rape gangs without letting Nazis sell their garbage at our events.

I’ve been thinking about imagery and genre. I am no longer convinced my book is a fantasy in any other way than what section in a book store it might be shelved. It’s coming out closer to a fairy tale or a mythic romance in the older senses of the terms (no fairies or smooching, though). The difference is what I’m aiming to do with it. Is it merely an adventure? Not merely. It’s a hard thing to think all the way through, but I’m aiming higher than just a fun time. I might not achieve everything I want, but it’ll at least have some meaning to it. I’m trying to cram as much mythical truth into the words as I can. It’s a made up world I’m writing in, but in such a world I’ll tell the truth.

Wizard Study surgery prep! Side note: an old neighbor of ours gave us this table, which I use a desk. The owner before them was a war vet who had this shipped to Arkansas from a pub in Ireland. He and his buddies used to sit around it often when they were stationed over there.

@RevivedThoughts As a Texan, I grew up excited about Juneteenth (an awesome Texas holiday, but not with universal awareness). But it was nationalized in a stupid political push, rather than in a way that all Americans could get behind. Abolition is our Christian heritage, always has been.

The thing these dorks don’t understand is they’re the entire reason we’re being distracted from these battles to save our country from godless progressivism and foreign migrant hordes. They’re the ones who gave us a Nazi problem to begin with. Conservatives have seen tremendous victories against the Left the last couple years. We were a cavalry mid-charge and these insufferable retards go “hey! What if evangelical Christians and Joos are the real enemies? What if we started a repellent, disgusting, esoteric race cult and acted like maladjusted fools online?” These vile, craven, fools are Satan’s gift to the progressive Left. They’ll torpedo our movement, torpedo the country, and pat themselves on the back when they’re done. They genuinely think this is the way the country is going. They think the youth are with them. But the youth will grow out of this crap. The youth will find love and virtue and normalcy. But these guys will be left behind, irrelevant old fools forced to reinvent themselves and find a new grift in a country they handed to the secular progressive left.

Hi Brian. Allow me to interrupt your slam poetry and explain this to you. We want to defeat the Left. Nazis (like you and Eric Conn, let’s be honest here) are cancer. The Right can’t win if it dies of cancer. Let me know if I can further clarify.

Everyone needs to see this and recognize the form of manipulation it is utilizing. @Brian_Sauve and company got caught with genuine, in the flesh, self-professed, “it’s all over our websites” Nazis at their conference. So how do they respond to the documentation? Deflection, victimhood, and seeking to create victim passion amongst their followers. First, no one even HAD to hunt Nazis. Hunting takes work! You have to search and look! You all made it easy. You invited them in, gave them a place to set up, had them at your VIP meet and greet, and let them sell their wares to your attendees! No hunting needed when you do all that for us! But more importantly look at what Sauve does. He draws on given truths that make all of us angry. Muslim rape gangs. Cowardly UK politicians like Keir Starmer (what a vile creature he is!). He taps into our general dislike of, and distrust of, government—all of it, anymore. He brings up how expensive homes are. What there are anti-whites, anti-Christians, etc., in our society. And on and on it goes. And what does ANY of this have to do with Antelope Hills and the absolute MESS Sauve and Conn have made? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. None of the material being promoted by Antelope Hills will do ANYTHING about ANY of the societal ills Sauve lists. Instead, he adds to his “going to hell” condemnation of yesterday another anonymous cavil, “our churches are led by cowards and knaves, heads buried in books.” But this entire rant is nothing but an exercise in misdirection. It is utterly lacking in logical coherence and intellectual content. It’s smoke to attempt to cover a hasty retreat.

@WeldrSkeltr How often are you going to be using my driveway? How often am I checking my mail? Your presumptuous occasional inconvenience on my land doesn’t warrant my daily inconvenience. If you apologize and pay to pressure wash my driveway, I’ll let you keep using it. But no to the mailbox

POV: You move to the South thinking “y’all” is just a cute accent and southern hospitality is a participation trophy you automatically get for existing. Meanwhile, this Florida legend just dropped a 6-minute masterclass on what happens when a transplant shows up with a 50-foot rig, zero introduction, tire marks on your freshly power-washed driveway, and the audacity to demand you move your mailbox so he can use your circular drive like it came with the house. Sir… we will bring you a casserole when your grandma dies. We will check on your house during a hurricane. We will wave at you even when we’re mad. But we are not moving our mailbox because you bought a boat on wheels bigger than most people’s first apartment. Y’all really roll down here, get the free sweet tea and “bless your heart,” then act shocked when the rest of us expect basic “I just met you, let me not be a menace” energy. Southern hospitality isn’t a hotel. It’s a two-way street. And some of y’all treating it like an all-you-can-eat buffet with no tip. So what’s the actual remedy here? Should he just move the mailbox and keep the peace like a good southern neighbor… or stand his ground and tell the guy to back that monster rig up somewhere else? Drop your verdict below (and your own wild neighbor stories while you’re at it). I’m invested now 😂 #SouthernHospitality #FloridaMan #BadNeighbors #TransplantProblems #BlessYourHeart #YallAintFromHere

Dartmoor's hill ponies have grazed those commons for longer than there has been a country called England. Fewer than a thousand are left, down from six thousand a generation ago. The United Nations listed them as endangered in 2023. So, naturally, the body charged with protecting nature has decided to get rid of nine in ten of the survivors. There is a process, obviously. Natural England's new grazing contracts now count the ponies in the same bucket as the cattle and sheep. A commoner with a fixed quota has a choice: keep a semi-wild pony worth nothing at market, or use the slot for a lamb he can sell. Guess which one survives the spreadsheet. The rest are gathered in the autumn drifts, and with nowhere to put thousands of unhandled moorland ponies, the next stop is the abattoir. Natural England would like it noted that it has not ordered a cull. It has merely built a machine whose only output is a cull, switched it on, and handed the bolt gun to a farmer so the fingerprints land elsewhere. Very tidy. And now the funny part. The pony is the best tool on the entire moor for eating Molinia, the coarse purple grass strangling Dartmoor into a brown monoculture. Cattle and sheep won't touch it. The ponies hoover it down and clear the ground for the orchids, the wildflowers and the insects behind them. Remove the ponies and the moor chokes into precisely the lifeless scrubland the contract was meant to prevent. So the conservation strategy, in full: protect the habitat by deleting the animal that maintains the habitat. A masterclass. Better still, Natural England's own Fursdon review looked at this exact question and told them, in plain English, not to lump ponies in with cattle and not to cut pony numbers. They read it, praised it, said they fully supported it, then did the precise opposite. Four thousand years these animals have run Dartmoor with no committee and no contract. They could be gone within one, and the people who did it will write it up as a win for nature.

@_MRMalik0 @greg16676935420 Although this sounds like a great idea, can you explain to me how he could do this? Many of the world's poor live in nations where international aid regularly ends up in the hands of corrupt politicians and never makes it to the people. I don't think you have this figured out.

I read a story in which the author, whose hero was Texas, mentioned someone taking a "slice" of Frito pie, and thus exposed himself as a poseur. In a different story, by a different author, the hero went to Waffle House and bought a Belgian waffle - making it clear he had never in fact visited a Waffle House. In the Walking Dead, they go from Florida to South Carolina and can't find a single firearm in any house. "Huh" I thought. "The screenwriters are from Los Angeles." What examples can you give of a writer unintentionally giving away his lack of knowledge?
