@BethRigby So only #Starmer is allowed to state how bad the decision was. It was calculated; that he would get better results from the US & Trump. But he didn't think of Epstein, victims, nor previous Mandelson issues, nor us the public. It wasn't a mistake, it was arrogant misjudgement.

@treesey @bbcnickrobinson It's intimidating to ask such a direct, emotive question at your home. It's not political party campaigning, asking can I count on your vote (yes / no). If the homeowner wants to ask more of the political party they will. (They own the discussion), unlike the Greens approach.

NEW: I asked PM directly on whether he had misled the House when he said due process had been followed regarding Mandelson’s appointment. ‘No’ He says it’s clear the process isn’t robust enough & says again it was ‘my mistake’ and I apologise for that

@DPJHodges And when his decision is questioned; he says it's a mistake. His mistake with Mandelson was a judgement call that he thought he could use Mandelson to deal with Trump. A political decision snafu'd by his lack of a political radar.

To save me answering the same question, all politicians lie. Boris was an inveterate liar. But I have never seen a Prime Minister who has combined such extensive lying with such a broad and un-self-aware attempt to frame themself as a paragon of virtue, as Keir Starmer.

@SandyofSuffolk He appears to think he becomes more statesman like, the slower he speaks. Whereas he comes across as a badly programmed robot speaking with long gaps between words. Result being we want him to stop speaking rather than hanging on every word. Not a good sound nor tone for a PM.

@BBCPolitics Why does the PM speak in a slow tone? Is he demonstrating his leadership style? If that is the case...the slowness of response to date fits. If his government was prepared then he should have had the judgement to assess an escalation strategy by Iran. Poor judgement #starmer

@Simon_Nixon What a back to front comparison. Falklands moment is about intervention. To me it shows his credentials that international law is his bedrock for either inaction or action (after the event). Seems out of touch with current geopolitics.

Well, with country in a state of high anxiety over the war in Iran, Badenoch chooses to go on the attack. She piles into Starmer asking why UK is not carrying out defensive bond raids on Iran, pivots to defence spending and calls him 'pathetic and weak'. Starmer is absolutely excoriating in return as he takes the high ground: "I spent the week protecting British lives and our national interests. Moments like this define a leader of the opposition. They can either step up, act in the national interest and show that they're fit to be Prime Minister, or they can expose their utter irrelevance. She has chosen the second."

@BethRigby Starmer could have used the preamble prior to PMQs to explain all the details as to what the government is doing to protect lives. Instead he chose not to answer questions and drip feed details on evacuation etc. Your assessment in my opinion is flawed @BethRigby

I just voted to lift the two-child cap - a policy introduced by the Tories which punishes children who were born into a poor family. Nigel Farage wants to keep it and instead give tax breaks to foreign billionaires. I know whose side I'm on.
