10-4 Run and 35th overall. I pictured day 2 going slightly better but you’ll have that. Onto Fort Wayne!!

Gen 5 remake could also be a new ZA/PLA approach. Either way reincorporating gems

Adding gems would be yet another way to extend a life cycle on champions. I feel as the story for WW will be far less around the balance of the gimmick and far more towards story telling as champions frees up the need to balance it for in game competition.

My predictions for Pokémon moving forward. 1. Old style batting is here to stay. ZA didn’t perform all that well, can certainly expect a mix of the ZA style battles, but would imagine for training/wild encounters, trainers, gyms, e4 remain the same 2. New gimmick added to WW

Only thing that makes me nervous about Champions is potentially going back to CTS. It makes me wonder if omitting OTS in-game was a deliberate decision.

@GDKSMRpasteque Yes, and dynamax as well. I worded it wrong, but objectively, tera will not be available for the first format, and we honestly don’t know how long these formats are. So I’d say it’s safe to assume we are stepping away from tera for a little while. I could have worded it better.

So now that Champions is on the horizon and tera is on its way out, one question remains. Do open team sheets stay or leave? 👀

@Profkoji Open sheets weren't only because of Tera, but also because SV didn't have a team lock-in feature for in-person tournaments (unlike the previous several games). I suspect that live events will keep the open sheets though. People are just used to it now.

@KantoE4Champ That’s a very fair take. I did enjoy scouting for items, what style of Pokémon they were running etc!

@RexProfessor @TheFonzPart I’m indifferent on team sheets, I’ve competed during both formats of the game and enjoy both. This is mainly discourse on what you all think.

@RexProfessor @TheFonzPart This happens at every level or competition that involves money sadly. Look at cheating allegations in the nfl etc, not saying I agree with it bc I don’t though! Sheets do alleviate this issue and is a valid point to retain them!

@TheFonzPart @Profkoji Scouting networks aren’t even just “friends” they can be leagues of players who use scouting to their advantage. When tens of thousands could be on the line, people will always find whatever advantages they can. How would you even start to cal it out, it’s impossible to know

@RexProfessor @TheFonzPart To be fair, I agree with you 100% but at the same time, your tech is on the team sheet so it’s not hidden Information, it’s actually more accessible than before tbh. But I don’t agree with the scouting you are referring to, it’s scummy.

@TheFonzPart @Profkoji No, scouting is a serious issue for closed team sheets. If I battle you round one and you reveal having a very unique moveset for your Pokémon that is a core element of your team. You would be at a disadvantage if your round 2 opponent is my friend who knows your secrets.

@Qlaziks That’s the whole point of a healthy discourse my friend! I’m glad you disagree and love hearing opinions that differ from my own! It helps you grow a lot so thank you for your input!

@Profkoji I don't agree but understand your point 😉 But yeah open sheets allow more diversity because if you are not sure of your opponent moves it harder to take the risk of playing something spicy

@HolyWyvern Lol ikr. Tera was the first official format with ots, where megas were not previously played this way. Reason I was curious as to what everyone thought about the topic. I appreciate your feedback!

@Profkoji @RexProfessor Once you lock in the team and your player code to the comp you then get sorted and paired. No more exchanging pieces of paper, fear of losing a team sheet, and UI auto pushes the opposing Pokemon in your IG language. This is actually doable
