@TexansCommenter Yes and the fumbles didn't happen in the Pats game so it was just a weird game in Pitt. If you wanna blame Andrews as well that's fine hes not my favorite center but only saying 2 fumbles lost doesn't do it justice. They should add more context to their point ultimately.

@Qu1bs That’s fair but there’s nuance. 3 are center qb exchange. Never even had possession on the snaps regardless of who was at fault.
Botched snaps happen often for a variety of reasons and oddly never happened for stroud really until that game and that game only

Why does the media keep pushing FIVE FUMBLES like CJ Stroud actually lost the ball five times? Three of those were dropped snaps that he recovered himself.
How hard is it to just say he lost two fumbles? It’s a disingenuous way to present the stats. Seven turnovers is a lot different than then perceived 10 when it’s presented this way.

Wild to think the Texans were a Nico fumble/ CJ pick vs Jags, a Henry tackle on baker, and one more stop against the Broncos from going 15-2 in 2025 lol.
The 2026 Texans have an interesting schedule but 12 wins should be the minimum for them imo.

Maybe I'm in the minority on this one but just not a big fan of the gothic "H" alternate logo.

Personal news: Today is my last day at the Houston Chronicle.
I’m so appreciative of my time in Houston. It was awesome covering the Texans over the last two seasons and also helping on Rockets, Astros and more.

Doesn’t matter how much they whine, or how much they cry. No amount of complaining or wallowing in self pity and misery will change a thing. One fact remains: the Oilers/Titans history are forever solidified under one franchise and that’s NOT the Texans. They will never return to Houston. That ship has sailed. Amy set that in stone this week and I’m grateful to her for it cause I no longer have to defend it. It’s who we are and who we’ve always been.

The Titans’ “new” uniforms are basically Oilers uniforms with Titans written on them.
If the team wants to be the Oilers again…just say it.
As a Titans fan, it feels like the franchise cares more about Houston than Nashville.

Before and after Bob McNair was awarded his expansion franchise, he told me on multiple occasions how he wanted his team to be called the Texans. He wanted the Texans to forge their own identity, build their own legacy and create their own history. He wasn't interested in the Oilers' name or colors because those belonged to Bud Adams and his family.

I like the move for Braden Smith.
He's played nearly 7,000 snaps at right tackle in the NFL.
I would play him at right tackle. He's been successful there. Between him and Trent Brown, you can manage a season at right tackle with them.
I would've leaned TB and a rookie, but this solution is solid.
Smith has missed some time each of the past three seasons for different reasons. Neck/Concussion in 2025

Knee in 2023
