Claude Code rate limited me so hard I bought a $5,000 NVIDIA DGX Spark. Arriving tomorrow. A personal AI supercomputer. Anthropic cut off OpenClaw users. Slashed Claude Opus 4.6 rate limits. Told $200/month Max plan customers to use less. Then gave us a credit as an apology. This is what happens when AI companies have too much power over your workflow. One update and your entire stack breaks. Local models are the only infrastructure no one can throttle. No rate limits. No 529 errors. No surprise policy changes. Tomorrow I'm testing the DGX Spark live on stream. Running local models through real vibe coding workflows. The goal is simple. Never depend on a single provider again.

The DGX Spark is a ripoff.
$4,699 for 128GB of unified memory and 273 GB/s of bandwidth.
The Mac Studio M4 Max with 128GB of unified memory costs $3,699.
Same memory. $1,000 less. And it gets better.
The Mac Studio has double the bandwidth of the DGX Spark. For generating tokens, that means roughly twice as fast.
The Mac Studio is a full computer with or without AI. The DGX Spark is a $4,699 Linux box that does one thing.
NVIDIA announced this at $3,000. Shipped it at $4,000. Raised it to $4,700.
You're paying a $1,000 NVIDIA tax for half the bandwidth and fewer capabilities.
The only argument for DGX Spark is CUDA. If your entire workflow is locked into TensorRT-LLM and you need FP4 tensor cores, fine.
Everyone else should just buy the Mac Studio.

Praktisch also keinerlei Einschränkung.

It’s over. Anthropic just banned OpenClaw. Uncensored thoughts: 1. Massive mistake that will come back to bite them 2. Open source needs to win. If you have a local model running on your Mac mini, no corporation will ever be able to ban you 3. ChatGPT 5.4 is the best model. But it sucks compared to opus in OpenClaw. I will continue to pay for Anthropic api 4. I have no doubt the next OpenAI model will be optimized for Openclaw and be excellent 5. In 6 months the local models will be as good as opus 4.6 and all of this will be forgotten 6. It’s feels like from a consumer sentiment perspective things have flipped for OpenAI and Anthropic. They were the darlings when Opus 4.5 came out 7. Going to the Kanye concert right now please don’t spoil the stage or set list in the replies 8. The best openclaw set up is now Opus as the orchestrator, then much cheaper models as the execution layer. If you do this properly you won’t be paying much more than $200 a month. I’m using Gemma 4 and Qwen 3.5 for execution on my DGX Spark and Mac Studio
