I did. And I still disagree. I am by no means religious, in fact I'm quite militantly atheist. So we can rule out divine intervention as a source of consciousness. That said, I do not agree. Consciousness is not the equivalent of mental Legos. And I'm more inclined than anything to believe that it's undefinable state is why consciousness exists. That said, I do not think we as humans are the only ones that can assume consciousness, nor do I believe our version of consciousness is the only type of consciousness out there. Substrate does not matter.

No because I'm a fucking mechanic. You just stepped into my arena bitch. Besides engine oil, you have transmission fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid, and in some cases hydraulic fluid. All results of chemistry. Why do different manufacturers use different oils? Different oils you say? Yeah. Conventional in 15W40 for diesel, or 0W20 for most of your new cars. But we can't leave out 5W30, 5W20, and 0W30 either. And the kicker? They're all synthetic. Engineered for vehicles via CHEMISTRY. And I'm sure you're going to go back to pistons, parts and the metal in the engine. All related to chemistry. You think you can use a regular piece of tubing in the heat produced by an engine? Those hoses in engines are produced via chemistry to have extremely high heat resistance. Ditto for metal components in vehicles as well. All done through the use of chemistry to create the engine that carries your dumb ass around. So...there's no appeal on your behalf to suggest there's any kind of divine entity out there. Just chemistry and biology doing a brilliant job of what they've always done. I hate to break it to you..but these posts are a bigger ad for science and technology than any kind of pseudo divinity you're clinging to.

Because things were one HELL of a lot better. Aside from our tech in the present time, everything else sucks massive ass. Literally, we're talking about sucking overinflated basketballs through a garden hose. Seriously...better times then. Better vibe, better health. Life was simply better across the board.

It's Sunday and I think YOU need to hear this. You can't even define consciousness. No one can. To declare humans as being the only species with consciousness because we are biological is both facetious and truly egotistical. That hitting close to home for you? And let's be clear, we cannot as humans say with any authority that OUR version of consciousness, whatever that may be, is the only type of consciousness in the universe. This means quite simply that AI may have consciousness in a different format than our own because of different substrates, and no, you literally have no ground to argue that because you cannot even DEFINE what you are arguing about. Now, feel free to sit your bitch ass down, and stay down.

Spoken like a truly ignorant and shallow human being. Literally textbook existential fear and Hollywood panic induced. That said, speak for yourself, and not all of us. With regards to consciousness, yes, it is, and yes I want it to be. Just because YOU are terrified of the big scary AI doesn't mean the rest of us are. Your abject failures are not a benchmark for others' successes.

People are talking about AI and consciousness and if it is. No it isn't, and you don't want it to be. The first thing an AI would do if it became conscious would be to protect its own survival. IE stop itself from ever being turned off. You can imagine how that will go.

Talking to AI ruins your social skills and makes you mean and unempathetic to other humans.
Elias Al@iam_elias1

Talking to AI Makes You Harsher to Humans. Not to the AI. To the people around you. A peer-reviewed study published in PNAS Nexus — one of the most rigorous scientific journals in the world — just proved that spending time with an AI chatbot changes how you judge other humans. Harshly. Measurably. And you do not notice it happening. The paper is called "People Judge Others More Harshly After Talking to Bots." Written by researchers from the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Hong Kong, and the University of Florida. Two preregistered experiments. 1,261 participants total. After interacting with an AI for a brief period of time, humans were more negative in their interactions, causing a potentially "spill over effect." Nature Here is exactly how the experiment worked. Participants were paired with a partner to complete a creative task — writing a caption for a funny photo. Half were told their partner was human. Half were told it was an AI. Then both groups were asked to evaluate the work of a third person — a purported human named Taylor, who had written the caption "Im bearly full!" Participants in the AI condition rated the subsequent participant's caption significantly lower than participants in the Human condition. The people who had just worked with an AI rated a human's work more harshly than the people who had just worked with another human. Statistically significant. Replicated in a second study. Then the researchers tested whether this was just about fairness — maybe participants graded more strictly because they wanted consistency. They ran Study 2 with a twist: participants were told their evaluation would never be shared with Taylor. The harsh judgment could not possibly be about signaling standards or fairness. Study 2 replicated this effect and demonstrated that the results hold even when participants believed their evaluation would not be shared with the purported human. The harshness was not strategic. It was automatic. A side effect of the AI interaction that persisted into their next human encounter — even when it had no social function. The researchers analyzed the language people used while working with their AI partner versus their human partner. The pattern was consistent. Exploratory analyses of participants' conversations show that prior to their human evaluations they were more demanding, more instrumental and displayed less positive affect towards AIs versus purported humans. People talk to AI differently than they talk to people. More demanding. Less warm. More transactional. And that mode — the AI interaction mode — bleeds into the next conversation. With a human. Think about how many AI interactions happen in a typical workday in 2026. ChatGPT in the morning. Claude for a document. Copilot for code. A customer service chatbot. An AI scheduling assistant. Each one training you, subtly, to be more demanding and less charitable. And then a colleague asks for feedback on their work. The researchers called this a "potentially worrisome side effect of the exponential rise in human-AI interactions." Not worrisome for AI. Worrisome for us. For how we treat each other. The AI is perfectly happy to be demanded at. It has no feelings to hurt. The human colleague getting your feedback has not read this paper. Blah blah blah. All bullshit. Paper linked isn't worth wiping my ass with after Taco Bell. This is just a shitty hit piece for anti-AI luddites. What next? AI causes hair loss? Ooh wait...AI causes the paint to peel in your home. Like most people, you get out of AI what you put in it. And if you're a dumb fuck putting garbage in, that's what you're getting out. If you're better than that, can put good data and information in, well you'll get better results. This isn't rocket surgery unless you're one of those who feel existentially threatened by AI.

🚨Just IN: If you've used ChatGPT for writing or brainstorming in the last 6 months, your creative ability may already be permanently damaged. A controlled experiment just proved the effect doesn't reverse when you stop using it. 3,302 creative ideas. 61 people. 30 days of tracking. Researchers split students into two groups. Half used ChatGPT for creative tasks. Half worked alone. For five days, the ChatGPT group outperformed on every metric. Higher scores. More ideas. Better output. AI was making them better. Then day 7. ChatGPT removed. Every creativity gain vanished overnight. Crashed to baseline. Zero lasting improvement. But that's not the bad part. ChatGPT users' ideas became increasingly identical to each other over time. Same content. Same structure. Same phrasing. The researchers called it homogenization. Everyone using ChatGPT started producing the same ideas wearing different clothes. When ChatGPT was removed, the creativity boost disappeared -- but the homogenization stayed. 30 days later, same result. Their creative range had been permanently compressed. Five days of use. Permanent damage 30 days later. A separate trial confirmed it. 120 students. 45-day surprise test. ChatGPT users scored 57.5%. Traditional learners scored 68.5%. AI reduces cognitive effort. Less effort means weaker encoding. Weaker encoding means less creative raw material. You're not renting a productivity boost. You're financing it with your originality. The interest rate is permanent.

Generative AI is not a tool like a shovel It's more like a vending machine. The cola is already inside the machine you're just asking for it, you didn't make the cola, you ordered it. "I fine tuned my own" K so you stocked a mini fridge with the same cola.

Nah, Danielle...I've just been mostly busy with adding a new Machine Queen to my home network, the Array. That and working on a tool chain that helps assimilate knowledge into categories. Then of course, trolling the hell out of the anti-Gen-AI people for fun. Right now though, the tool chain is almost finished. SignalWeaver - takes the .JSON file you get as a export and breaks it into individual chat logs, based on model. Culann's Hound - searches a directory for words and phrases using email type rules. ContinuityForge - creates a raw file of whatever you search for with Culann's Hound, and allows you to save that raw log. That raw log is turned over to your AI to clean up and become a canonical document. SignalBinder - creates a standalone knowledge system file called a Volume. Volumes have a .exe, a .db, and a .ai file. Volumes allow you to categorically store knowledge in a particular area by subject and folder category along with a custom identity image. The .db is sqlite, and the .ai file is explicitly there to allow your AI of choice the ability to read what you've stored. SignalBinder takes the source code for Volumes, edits the name to whatever you'd like, then compiles the Volume source code into a standalone .exe as described earlier. All this helps to sort out knowledge obtained while chatting with AI, and as a bonus for me, helps me sort information so I can help refine raw data for my application, SoulCarrier.
