This is why you should smile in the battle because deep down you know how this story ends. Very few generations get a moment like this, a moment where a nation has to decide whether it accepts decline or remembers who it is. Some people look at Britain today and see weakness, I don't, I see a country being pushed right to the edge, the people running this country believe they've broken your spirit, they've awakened it. Every attack on your freedoms, every lie, every betrayal, every insult, ALL of it is creating the monster they fear most, a population that has stopped being afraid. People don't come alive during comfort, they come alive during struggle, purpose is found in the fight and meaning is found in the mission. Whether people realise it yet or not, we are living through one of those moments that history books will write about, the moment Britain remembered who they were. Smile, we're going to tell our grandchildren about this part.

From a locked account - ‘I love the commentariat view that no one in the country would give a damn about police brutality and racially targeted stabbings unless Nigel Farage says something about it’ I think this ties in with that colonial mindset high status white progressives have. They think of low status whites as savages, ‘whipped up’ by tribal elders banging on the old bongos. The eyes flash from side to side, the teeth shine in the night, the gammons are restless etc.

The party is a coalition of opinions around a unifying objective. There are going to be a lot of disagreements and we’re all going to need thick skins, a sense of humour and the grace to argue with each other in good faith. I think that personal abuse of other members is unnecessary and undesirable, whatever their opinions on Ben Habib. I understand the view of those who regard him with respect and those who regard his presence in the party machine as a red line. For those reasons, I’d welcome him as a member, but not a party official.

@PReynoAgain I'm not going to argue with you, it's not the time or place. Read my post again and think about it. I'll take my support and financial contributions elsewhere if this is the consensus view.

As an Advance UK and Restore Britain member, Ben Habib has just made an honourable decision, which I support. Rupert has been kind and generous in his response. If enough Restore members are not prepared to be generous towards Ben, then I will end my Restore membership and stop campaigning. It won't make any difference, but I won't be alone. Reform are hopefully soon about to find out that you can't win an election by denigrating allies over policy and tactical disputes. Restore should learn that lesson before it destroys them too. If you are Restore member and want to start denigrating Ben, then please unfollow me now so that I can remove you from my timeline, I don't want to hear it.

@Ben_JS_Cooper @DPJHodges Liberal dogma can be both anti-Left and anti-Right. After all, they scuppered Corbyn but failed to scrutinise both Johnson and Starmer. And they used to hate Farage, but are more neutral towards him as he gets nearer to power.

@DPJHodges Own worst enemy, or placed in a permanently impossible position; lynched by all sides no matter what it says or does. The left claims the BBC is a conservative (or far right) propaganda machine, the right claims it is a den of wokeness. Who is correct?

@BTLF1 @DPJHodges Why are you describing Makerfield as a hate and bigot vote? What possible reason do you have for saying that?

It isn't. It's based on a fairly ancient method the Bbc has for deciding who does and who does not get onto political debate programmes. After all if Restore which has never elected a single MP should feature, then why not any other independent in the race? You certainly can't do it through polling.

Point One - the leftist refusal to debate with TERFs led to the defeat of transgender ideology in the public mind. Their No Platform policies could fairly be described as counterproductive. Point Two - I’m a member of Restore Britain, who you described as Nazis. I thought my username and the party logo as my pfp had made that obvious. Apparently not. Nice chatting though.

@RB_Commentary @Leftwood "refusing to debate your political opponents is counterproductive unless you believe your arguments are inferior." It's not, which is why we have No Platform policies "The relevance is that I’ve enticed you into conversation with someone you deem a Nazi" What are you on about

This is Aaron Bastani having a friendly chat, at the height of yesterday's hue and cry, about how this has all come about because of the Left reading Foucault. With a guy from Restore, which is to say an enthusiast for mass deportations, which is to say a Nazi.

@ejhchess @Leftwood My point, extremely poorly made, was that refusing to debate your political opponents is counterproductive unless you believe your arguments are inferior. The relevance is that I’ve enticed you into conversation with someone you deem a Nazi and the sky hasn’t fallen in.

@ejhchess @Leftwood Accounts suspended for various reasons. Mostly to do with anti-Zionist commentary, but not all. We’ve also spoken a couple of times about the provenance of the name Joy Division, if that rings any bells.

@RB_Commentary @CrookshankKaren @thelefttake @tuba_col He just made this announcement yesterday morning, so I am hoping it will be investigated. Gladly the PM and other MPs were condemning his behaviour and heckling at him when he was trying to speak in Parliament, and rightfully so. Henry's family didn't want him to speak at all.

@RB_Commentary @tuba_col @CrookshankKaren @thelefttake It's not irrelevant when he has millions of followers on X alone, produces mass far right protests, has been at this for years on years, has ties to other far right people with another mass amount of followers, has been endorsed by Elon Musk at a rally... ETC ETC ETC.
