👏 @pollytoynbee Excellent piece. Burnham really is Labour’s best hope right now.
But I hope he rethinks pushing land value tax. Taxing farmland would hammer already struggling family farms, drive up food prices and lower quality for families, and further deplete our food security at a dangerous time.
We need to protect and rebuild British farming and domestic production, not make life harder for the people who grow our food.
