@sa_invincible @EniolaRaji1990 You don't know the Yibos, they believe the world revolves around them and their narratives must be the only acceptable one. There is this arrogance about them that they can rule Nigeria without collaboration with any other ethnic nationality.

My final engagement before leaving Capetown for Johannesburg yesterday, I had the privilege of meeting two distinguished former leaders, President Ian Khama of Botswana and President Thabo Mbeki of South Africa, before departing Cape Town for Johannesburg yesterday. This meeting was an opportunity for me to express my heartfelt appreciation for their positive comments on the recent immigration issues in the region and their continued advocacy for peace and unity among African nations. Both Mr Khama and Mr Mbeki continue to hold significant respect across the continent due to their remarkable contributions, both during and after their presidencies. During my audience with Mr Mbeki, I also reconnected with my good friend, former Ekiti State Governor Dr Kayode Fayemi, who delivered a keynote address at the Thabo Mbeki Africa Day lecture, focusing on the themes of rebuilding unity and revitalising institutions throughout the continent. This event was organised by the Thabo Mbeki Foundation. -PO

Peter Obi and other Nigerians are getting richer under President Tinubu! Something positive happened last week that evidences the professional handling of the economy by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Economic Management Team. But because it was not something negative, much of the media and all of the opposition have kept quiet about it. Sadly, we live in a country where those with the responsibility and ability to project Nigeria positively prefer to do so negatively. So, what occurred? Well, we all know that the wealthiest Black person on Earth and the richest African is none other than our own dear Alhaji Aliko Dangote, who, according to Forbes Magazine, is now worth $35.9 billion. Do note that Mr. Dangote's wealth has almost tripled under President Tinubu, rising from an estimated $13.9 billion in 2022, according to Forbes, to almost $40 billion today. However, Nigeria, last week, also produced the second wealthiest man in Africa, as Abdul Samad Rabiu, Chairman of the BUA Group, overtook the South African billionaire luxury goods and jewellery maker, Johann Rupert, to become Africa's second wealthiest man, with his net worth surging from $10.4 billion on New Year's Day, to almost double at $19.1 billion today, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Now, the question is this: If, as my good friend Peter Obi claims, President Bola Tinubu has mismanaged the economy, how come two of Nigeria's biggest local manufacturers, in the persons of Aliko Dangote and Abdul Samad Rabiu, have seen their wealth double under President Bola Tinubu's administration, with the attendant result that their staff strength has also increased by almost 50%? In fact, the question can also be asked: why has Peter Obi's bank, ******** Bank, reported record profits under President Tinubu, with Gross Earnings growth of 45.6% from ₦1.04 trillion in 2024 to ₦1.52 trillion in 2025? You see, the truth is that under President Tinubu, the Nigerian economy is booming, having experienced 12 consecutive quarters of GDP growth and trade surpluses, even as the President has added $67 billion to our economy and made Nigeria the sixth-largest contributor to global GDP growth in 2025. And this growth is not concentrated on the 1%. Ordinary Nigerians are seeing the result of President Tinubu's reforms. According to the 2025 Agricultural Performance Survey, food production in Nigeria has increased significantly under President Tinubu, with food prices, especially the cost of staples like rice, maize, and sorghum, dropping nationwide by an average of 50% in 2025. Things got so good that Peter Obi was forced to complain about the steep drop in food prices, when on Friday, February 27, 2026, he said falling food prices under President Tinubu were making our farmers poorer. On that day, Mr. Obi said: "Somebody called me today when I walked in here and told me that the food prices have gone down." He then concluded by saying we have "killed" our farmers. But if by improving the economy, such that food prices dropped nationwide, President Tinubu is killing our farmers, that is one 'kill' that leads to life! Reno Omokri Ambassador Designate to Mexico. ...The Kwankwaso I know would never bow or play second fiddle to such a man and he would never bring himself so low as to be his running mate. Again this is the same Kwankwaso that went to Chatam House in London and asked them how he, a PhD holder, could possibly be running mate to a man with the most inconsequential and negligible academic qualifications when compared to his and one that, apart from being far younger than him in age, is nothing but a common trader like Obi. This is the same Kwakwanso that also once said "it is only the enemy outside that is saying I will be a running mate to Peter Obi". This is the same Kwankwaso that banned the sale of alcohol in his native Kano state when he was Governor and got the hisbah (the local Islamic police) to confiscate and destroy bottles of beer and close down beer parlours in an attempt to enforce that law. How can such a man with such strong and laudable religious convictions and who, as a consequence of his faith, does not condone the drinking of alcohol accept to be running mate to an individual whose company not only brews, produces and manufactures beer but also sells it in cans and bottles that have the Biafran logo stamped on them? Unless he has changed and has shed himself of every vestige of dignity and self-respect and has been afflicted with the bug of unbridled and blind ambition, the Kwankwaso that I have known for almost 26 years will NEVER reduce himself to be running mate to such a man. If anything he would reverse the roles and insist on Obi being his running mate rather than the other way around and this is rightly so. Worse of all is the fact that his intention of running with Obi either as presidential candidate or running mate may confirm the grave allegation levelled by the Americans that he is a terrorist- sympathiser which I really do not want to believe. A joint ticket with Obi, who is a supporter and sympathiser of another terrorist organisation called IPOB, and him could well confirm the allegation that he believes more in the power of violence, terror and the gun than in the power of the ballot. This would be so sad and would strip him of every vestige of decency. Obi to him is like the proverbial poisoned chalice: it looks wonderful on the outside and appears to be filled with promise but will bring nothing but death destruction. Worse of all it will bring Kwankwaso's hitherto great political career to a crashing and humiliating end. Peter's strange behaviour and eccentricities speak for themselves. You say you want to be president and in the same breath you say "I don't give shishi!" One wonders whether this man is alright upstairs? Is there any country in the world where presidential campaigns are not funded with money? Will "shishi" provide and cater for the logistics for a modern nation wide presidential campaign or does he believe that the loud, aggressive and vulgar commentry and insults by his misguided and vocal supporters on social media threads alone will do it for him? Honestly I worry for those young men and women man that have dedicated their sorry lives to him and that follow him blindly and fanatically. It is pitiful. They are like an old steam train that is roaring and revving it's engine and blowing its whistle at the station but is going nowhere: all noise and heat but no motion. O ma se o! Outside of that it is clear to me that even in the new party called the NDC Obi's intransigence and insistence on being given the presidential ticket will eventually cause major problems and result in yet another cataclysmic breakdown and parting of ways. Just as the union ended abruptly and acrimoniously in the case of the ADC so it shall be for this newly established marriage of opportunism and convenience in the NDC. Things will soon fall apart and the whole coalition will crash and come to a sad and messy end. (CONTINUED BELOW👇👇👇)

THE IRRETRIEVABLE BREAKDOWN OF MARRIAGE BETWEEN ATIKU ABUBAKAR AND PETER OBI (femifanikayode.org/the-irretrieva…) The biggest mistake that anyone can make when dealing with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT is to think he is an ordinary person. He is not. No matter what you throw at him he comes out on top. He is a what those that are familiar with Yoruba mythology describe as an "akanda eniyan" which means he is a "special one" that is endowed by God with extraordinary grace & some kind of spiritual & mystical powers. He is wily, tough, resilient, courageous, cunning, wise & most important of all patient. We tried to pull him down for years but failed. Yours truly was amongst the ranks of those that did so until 2020 when I realised I was wrong, saw the light, retraced my steps, had a Paulian conversion & fought hard for him in the 2023 presidential campaign. And I was not alone. In the end many of those that once oppposed him are now with him &, as is usually the case with converts, are even more fanatical & vocal in our support for him than others because we need to justify our change of heart & new-found position & make up for our past mistakes & error of judgement. He recognises that fact & that is why he is so accomodating, forgiving & magnanimous in victory. He welcomes all: even those who once fought & opposed him. And unlike others he rewards & builds up his supporters & loyalists & does not seek to denigrate, humiliate, crush or destroy them. That is the secret of his success. Simply put he cannot be stopped & this is a lesson that his enemies have yet to learn. He is what we Christians call a "sign & a wonder" & there is no doubt in my mind that the Lord is with him. Those that are ganging up against him to stop him in 2027 are indulging in an exercise in futility. Not only will they fail but they will fail woefully. And already we see signs of that. Permit me to share just one example. I was informed about the division & disintegration of the Sen. David Mark-led faction of the ADC & the increasingly acrimonious divorce proceedings that are taking place between the Atikulators within their ranks on the one hand & the Obidients & Kwakwansians that have chosen to pack their bags & walk out on the other. To make matters worse I also gather that a young man by the name of Nafiu Bala has what is left of Mark's faction of the ADC by the balls & has them tied down in court. After processing these developments I sat back in my favourite chair & laughed in Swahili. This is because we had seen all of this coming right from the start & we said so. How can a battle ship hope to float let alone embark on a successful military campaign when it has too many captains on board & when it is loaded & filled to the brim with the loudest, crudest, most unruly, most indisciplined, most vulgar, most disrespectful, most abusive & most aggressive band of drunken sailors who are little better than wild-eyed pirates. This was a break up that was waiting to happen & frankly their marriage of opportunism & convenience was doomed from the start. What we are witnessing today is a fall out that was predictable & inevitable & the fact that they are now turning their guns on one another & attempting to blow each other to pieces not only vindicates those of us that dismissed them as a bunch of clowns right from the start but also gives us immense joy. We have brought out the popcorn & are watching them with keen interest as they fire the most modern drones & inter-continental ballistic missiles at each other which of course will result in their mutual destruction. Yet even as entertaining as this whole drama is to behold it is not my focus in this contribution. Instead I have chosen to share a few words with at least two of the protagonists in the conflict who I have a soft spot for & who I find particularly fascinating. My objective here is to offer them both some unsolicited counsel & advice. (CONTINUED BELOW 👇👇👇)

Ambassador say South Africa get biggest economy in Africa What happened to Tinubu’s economy?
Femi Fani-Kayode@realFFK

It gives me pleasure to announce the fact that Mr. President has graciously approved my posting as Nigeria's Ambassador-Designate to South Africa. This came a few days after the initial posting to Germany was announced and after I made a formal representation to the then Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, that I was not comfortable with Germany for a number of personal reasons and given the fact that I had lived in Europe most of my life I would prefer to go to South Africa which is a country that I had never been to and for which I have so much interest. I also expressed the fact that I would rather serve in a country that shares some of my convictions, beilefs and values when it comes to world affairs, that has the biggest economy in Africa, that has closer ties to Nigeria and that is more proximate to my political thinking when it comes to foreign affairs and a pan African vision. I therefore made an application for a redeployment to South Africa two days after the initial announcement was made and I am pleased to say that after the then Foreign Minister (H.E. Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar) heard my reasons he considered them favourably after which he conveyed the request to Mr. President who graciously approved it. I will be eternally grateful to Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for this favourable consideration. I also take this opportunity to thank Senator Sam Enang, who was originally posted to South Africa and who was pleased to go to Germany instead, to agree for a straight swap. I take this opportunity to once again confirm that this was my choice and that Germany NEVER rejected me, which was a fake report that was published in an irresponsible online magazine that thrives on sensationslism, lies and blackmail. Their story was not only irresponsible and insulting but was also a total and complete fabrication based on hearsay, beer parlour talk and cheap gossip and designed to embarass my goodself, the Federal Government and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Worse still they listed a number of clearly outlandish and absurd reasons for this purported and fake "rejection" which they patched together and concocted reflecting the malevolent condition of their perverse imagination. Our findings after a preliminary investigation was that the story was not only sponsored but was also written with malicious intent and designed to hurt and destroy my career and bring me into both national and international opprobium and disrepute. We have reported the online magazine and the individuals that are behind it with a petition to the relevant security agencies for necessary action. I have also briefed my lawyers to take up the matter and we shall be suing the them in a civil action for defamation. What actually happened was that the day an "agreement" was sent to South Africa by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which was on March 13th, it was leaked to them and they falsely and maliciously reported that it was sent only because I had been formally rejected by Germany which they knew to be false. They attempted to establish falsehood as fact and this is unacceptable and far below the par of professionalism and proper journalism. If there was such a formal rejection I challenge them to bring the proof with documentary evidence. I repeat this never happened and I urge the media to be far more circumspect with such reports. This statement has been made necessary due to the concern that many of my friends and loved ones have expressed over the matter and in an attempt to set the record straight. God-willing, I look forward to serving as Nigeria's Ambassador to South Africa, a nation that I admire and respect given its remarkable and inspiring history. (Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, Ambassador-Designate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to South Africa)

The way Hope Uzodinma is going, he might be the first Igbo president. He is loyal to the core, a party man, and one who understands dynamics of national politics. Hope Uzodinma is a friend to the North, South, West and well adored by his people in the East. He will become the next Senate President putting the Igbos on the map. He will be the Vice President inshallah and history will be kind enough to make him occupy that apex sit.

.@elonmusk, For months, I have paid ₦49,000 for my Starlink subscription in Nigeria. Suddenly, and without notice, without consent, and without any change to my plan, I am slammed with a ridiculous charge of ₦215,955. Let’s be clear: this looks like exploitation, not pricing. You do not wake up one morning and multiply a customer’s bill by over 4x with zero communication. That is not business, it is abuse of trust. Are Nigerian customers being taken for granted? Is this a deliberate strategy or a gross failure of your billing system? Either way, it is unacceptable. Reverse this charge immediately and explain yourselves publicly. Silence will only confirm the worst assumptions. cc: @fccpcnigeria @Starlink
