What happened to Giorgia Meloni? She was once such a Trump ally… then she turned on him AND on Italy. After campaigning against open borders — she agreed to take in 500,000 migrants.

Italian PM Meloni to Trump: So, certain things deserve an immediate response. Donald Trump's statements are completely fabricated. I am frankly appalled. I don't know why the President of the United States behaves this way towards his allies; after all, it's not the first time it's happened. I can only say it's a pity that he doesn't show the same determination with the enemies of the West, with the enemies of the United States, with leaders towards whom he instead proves to be much more accommodating. But he must remember one thing: Italy and I never beg.

The US has no allies anymore in Europe. We have a forced alliance with a bunch of selfish and socialist business partners who could care less about what's in the best interest of the US. They are only interested in maintaining their own welfare states, and their disregard for defense spending proves it. But please, don't ever say we have "allies" or "friends" in Europe. Lying doesn't become you, Meloni.

I am the @WorkersPartyGB candidate for Mayor of Greater Manchester. Labour under Starmer are apparently running so scared of losing the position they are planning the election for July 30, the dog days of summer in the middle of the summer holidays! I have today asked my lawyers @KRWLaw to seek from the Starmer government the assurance that I will be allowed by them to fight the election and not held, again, by armed police officers under the Terrorism Act at the airport! What else can I do, fight a British election from China?
