Florida was the biggest state refusing to shut down. If Florida had shut down, many other red states wouldn’t have had the courage to remain open. Many governors were great on covid — Brian Kemp and Bill Lee among them — but DeSantis took most of the blue state heat. Gillum would have been snorting drugs, banging dudes, and shutting down the state. DeSantis only won by 50,000 votes. Get out and vote in your state elections. You never know when your vote may be the most important you cast in your life.

President Trump’s insistence that his anti-weaponization fund is not only not going away, but now he wants LEGISLATION to codify it, is exactly why Senators Cornyn and Tillis wouldn’t take Todd Blanche’s word for it:

Fauci on hydroxychloroquine (excerpts from diary and emails) March 17, 2020 (Diary) Issue arising of clains from France that hydroxychloroquine is effective in decreasing the duration of viral shedding and also is used as a prophylaxis in exposed people. March 18, 2020 (Diary) If you want expanded access (EA) of HC {hyroxychloroquine} which is an approved drug, you can do it in an EA protocol and still get wide distribution and possibly learn something. I stated that with R it is different since this was not approved. In the chorus of eeveryone agreeing with the POTUS that we need to give hope to people, I insisted that we can do both, but in the context of a trial. To his credit, POTUS agreed with me as long as we get the drugs out there. March 18, 2020 (Email) Folks: When we put together the proposal for the protocols/distribution of Hydroxychloroquine (HC) and Remdesivir, I feel that it is important that we do not make the program the same for each. We need to link Remdesivir to a much more strict protocol as opposed to HC which is an approved drug and although it has some adverse events, we have tons of experience with it. I am comfortable with the HC plan as discussed in the Oval… March 19, 2020 (Diary) Met yet again with POTUS right before the press conference, which did not include me since it was predominantly an FDA issue with Steve Hahn. POTUS excited about making drugs (Chloroquine, Remdesivir, etc.) more accessible. Therapy was the theme of the day. They actually were going to go too far and make them all available on compassionate use. I convinced them not to. POTUS was hot to give out chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine since Jeff Ellison thinks that it is a great drug. Steve Hahn did a good job in stressing the need for safety and efficacy data.” Summary: These passages are the primary source material Navarro and others have cited. Fauci recorded private comfort with a flexible expanded-access approach for the already-approved HCQ (emphasizing long experience with it), he supported getting HCQ out via flexible, structured expanded access (because it was already approved and familiar), but resisted fully unstructured “compassionate use” that he believed would forfeit the ability to learn anything rigorous but his main concern was with available supply (Though the Defense Act could have been invoked for its production)

I had over a million hydroxychloroquine tablets sitting in warehouses, ready to be distributed to doctors and patients across America. Fauci’s own diary from March 2020 shows he viewed the drug as safe and supported making it available. But when President Trump endorsed hydroxychloroquine and the media erupted, Fauci flipped.

Regime change neocons who thought anything in Iran was going to be geopolitically successful are utterly delusional. Venezuela an entirely different situation. You don't regime change an entire religion. It will never work.
