Safe Play for PS 290

Today is a great day for PS 290 / MNS! Thanks to the support of @JulieMenin and @NYCMayor our children have taken one GIANT step off the streets and onto a safe play space. We’re so thankful for their partnership and efforts on this city and state effort @SeawrightForNY.

At P.S. 290, the Manhattan New School, there’s no gym, or proper school yard. So students in third grade and up are forced to spend recess in an Upper East Side street. specne.ws/vyFMrz

Tonight, I met with #PS290 parents to discuss concerns about traffic safety, improving programming and advocating for a rooftop play space! My priority is finding solutions that keep our kids safe and building a healthy community for parents and children.
