@the_jrm It’s for the health of game, how are they meant to balance the game if the gap between base speeds and what’s possible with stacking is soo wide? You can still do stupid builds for videos, the effects just won’t be as crazy, and it’ll be funnier using up 4 perk slots for extra 3%

Ngl the diminishing returns update feels like the foundation of the beginning of the end for fun builds in Dead By Daylight.

Diminishing returns IS HEALTHY for DBD! If effect stacking is NEVER addressed, it will be impossible for BHVR to balance base gen speed, base healing speed, and map design, because the gap between base speeds and what’s possible with effect stacking is FAR TOO WIDE.

@Epitaff1io @Chey_ttv The issue was half the perks are useless on their own. And you’re just assuming they’re gonna overtune shit, which is a valid concern for BHVR but that’s an entirely different issue. As long as they raise the strength keeping in mind they can still stack a little, it’s fine

Every change they could make contributes to powercreep. The game is always changing and old strats become obsolete thats how DBD has been since the start.

@Chey_ttv Killer tweaks. Diminishing returns will not do any good for the game tho, they'll just use them as justification to buff perks even more than they should be buffed. Not much good will come out of it

@xg_stephen Java player here, it’s cool for sure, I don’t think Java players deny that, it’s just not everyone’s vibe. I like the vanilla better, and if you like this better that’s also fine. Minecraft is a sandbox, play it and modify the game however you want, that’s the whole point.

@LookAtMyMeat1 1000+ win streaks are possible with the best killers, and the highest 4 man escape streak is only 219. This game is killer sided for any killer A tier and above, anyone below that is at the mercy of map RNG and matchmaking. They can’t buff the killer role when S tiers exist.
