⚠️ Important London air pollution update for Friday 6 March. ⚠️ I’ve triggered a high pollution alert due to a forecast of particulate levels mainly caused by Saharan dust. ⚠️ Protect the most vulnerable by avoiding unnecessary car trips, engine idling and burning garden waste.

This week I saw for myself the vital work @TfL are doing to eliminate graffiti vandalism on the network. Graffiti is not trivial. It damages our trains and can make us feel less safe, which is why we're continuing to invest in a safer, cleaner and more reliable network.

Great to visit @TfL's newly decarbonised Therapia Lane tram depot w/ @NDIronsMP & @metecoban92 Impressive to see heat pumps, solar panels and energy‑efficient upgrades - cutting carbon and supporting green jobs. 🔋⚡️ A big step towards a net zero London by 2030!

I enjoyed being in the Royal Borough of Greenwich today as part of the Big Community Transport Tour - seeing progress on the Cycleway 4 extension, riding the new SL11, and hearing exciting plans to improve walking, cycling and public spaces in Greenwich & Woolwich town centres

We will never forget the sacrifices of those who served in Afghanistan.

#OnThisDay 3 years ago I had the immense privilege to be picked as one of four colleagues whose aggregate service to London Underground totalled 160 years to mark our 160th birthday at Baker Street with @MayorofLondon @SadiqKhan @SebDance @uggilord. I was a mere boy at 25 years!

Today I spent time at @crisis_uk’s extended hotel service in East London, seeing first-hand how a £200,000 City Hall investment is making a real difference - offering safety, stability and support for rough sleepers.

Good news for London’s open water swimmers - a new floating lido is coming to Canary Wharf’s Eden Dock. Great to see more opportunities to enjoy London’s blue spaces. And it looks spectacular ⬇
