Soccer is what first brought us here, but now that we’ve been a few times, Liverpool has grown on me: a walkable city with great transit, wonderful public spaces, amazing international cuisine and very friendly people. Don’t sleep on it as a destination.

@YOCspread I’ll dispute that Krispy Kreme is bottom tier (I am a fan), but I did see a TGI Fridays at Liverpool One - the upscale mall. Can’t remember the last one I even saw in the US.

@SimpleCRE There’s this weird thing where something that’s bottom barrel in US makes it to like a mid tier respectable establishment in uk. TGI Fridays is like a destination for dinner, McDonald’s, kfc…

@GeringerAdam We went by this morning on our way out of Liverpool. Just now had a chance to post it. I don’t remember seeing a classic KK photo but may just not have noticed.

Pedestrian streets with pavers are the best. Too bad they are so rare in the US.

A friend told me that after the end of his kids’ post-college summer, he told them they have a bank of 12 months of residence they can use the rest of their lives. That could be after a job loss or for a renovation or just between houses. But only 12 months in aggregate of actual living at home.

@blueprintsmb22 I’ve thought about this a lot. I will support my kids to successfully launch their own adult lives but they’re not welcome to come back and live with us permanently.

My daughter turns 8 this month. She’s awesome and alot of fun. I go back and forth if I would allow her to live with us at 30. Struggle is good as I personally grew the most when I was just thrown into the deep end to figure shvt out with no safety net. This woman is incredibly fortunate. Yes it’s 3am but I haven’t slept well for 20 years and have to wake up soon to turn on the factory anyway

@CaseyMericle @MultifamilyMad At a base level - most centered around the seller's retail business: - Is it the only location? - Did it exist before this building was built? - Is the owner a real estate developer with lots of side businesses, or is this retail business... real? etc...
