I am posting after a Long Time on Twitter, but its to announce a big change. I have started Thehumanloops.com and we are Collecting Egocentric Data at Scale from India, Covering 300 + Commercial Locations 1500 + Households This is the network and base we have built in just past 2 months, as the Robotics companies, VLMs and World Models increase their requirements on Real World Data collection, Human Loops will be keep scaling out capacity. We are on track to collect 1M Hours of Egocentric in the coming 6 months for our clients exclusively.  We are maintaining 95% Quality standards across industrial data and running a End - End Operational Management complying all Indian Laws and compensating our partners/operators. (From Environment sourcing, to hardware, Legal contracts, deployment, training, collection, processing) Check our Samples:  - Commercial Videos  -- Household Videos --- Multimodel  ---- Egocentric + Live Audio Narration  Links : lnkd.in/d6xzt8mj On the Journey to become #1 India Physical AI Data Partner. We are also building our capacity as annotation and labelling partner for data companies to become end-end partner for companies. A big change from the world of crypto and web3 but physical AI and data space is where i want to build my next venture #Egocentric #EgocentricIndia #PhysicalAI #Robotics #India #AIdata #data #Multimodeldata #worldmodels #VLMs #Humanloops #Egocentridata #Multimodeldata

After almost 7 incredible years at Meta, I’m excited to share that I’ll be joining the team at AMI Labs in New York to help build real-world models! AMI’s mission is something that has been close to my heart since my early days at FAIR. Much of my work over the years has focused on building perception and generation models that leverage the temporal structure of videos to predict future visual states, much like how language models leverage the structure of language to predict the next token. Along the way, this work helped advance a range of visual tasks, including physical reasoning, action anticipation, image animation, and video generation, while also contributing to some of the largest video datasets and benchmarks in the world. Now that language models have demonstrated remarkable capabilities in coding, math, and reasoning, I believe it’s the right time to push toward the next frontier: models that can achieve similar impact across a much broader range of real-world tasks. Leaving Meta has been one of the hardest decisions of my life. It was my first job after grad school, and in many ways, I grew up there. Many of the people I met there became close friends, mentors, and collaborators. When I joined, billion-parameter models were just beginning to emerge, vision systems were largely built separately for each task, and video generation models were hard to control and could produce little more than low-resolution clips. Needless to say, a lot changed over the years, and I was incredibly fortunate to have a front-row seat to that progress and to contribute along the way. I had the privilege of working on projects spanning multimodal modeling, representation learning, and video generation, including Ego4D, Omnivore, ImageBind, Emu Video, Llama-3, and MovieGen. None of this would have been possible without the exceptionally talented and kind collaborators I had the opportunity to work alongside. I’ll always be thankful to Meta for the opportunities, growth, learning, and most importantly, the friendships that will stay with me for a lifetime. Looking ahead, I’m deeply grateful to @sainingxie @michaelrabbat Min Lin @jingli9111 @ylecun @lxbrun and the entire AMI team for the opportunity to join this ambitious mission. I’m excited to help build the next generation of real-world models and push toward AI systems that better understand and interact with the physical world. Onwards! 🚀

In robotics, if something seems easy, it's probably too good to be true. There's a lot of juice to squeeze, but it frequently comes from doing the hard thing (even if it's not scalable) and compounding your learnings
Kyle Vedder@KyleVedder

opinion piece: cargo cults, data flywheels, and novelty pumps tl;dr: “deployment data flywheels” miss that scale should provide novelty, and deploying robots on a known task wrings most novelty out of its generated data your ops team’s novelty pump is the only way out 🔗👇

Last Video has 18 Scenes. This Video, I am dropping has 42 Scenes. The Video we release next will showcase 124 Scenes. I am also attaching a drive link, which has access to 2min samples of all these types (It would be closed due to legal reasons) I would also be happy to share 50 Hours worth of Diverse Footage with Researchers/VLA/VLM/Robotics Folks - Please reach out to get access. We are Aiming to Collect 15,000 Hours of Footage this Month from 40 Different environments and 160 + Scenes. I am still curious how the egocentric requirements develop and evolve overtime and what is researchers take, as I believe residential data requirements will go down to 0 within next 2 quarters, specialised industrial demand will sore. Sensory/UMI/MultiModel data will also rise with custom hardware coming into picture at sacle. #Egocentric #Indiarobotics #VLA #VLM #EgocentricIndia #multimodel #Videodata #HumanLoops

When I was at Vana, I spent some time helping a few teams collect data for robots. That got me interested in robotics, and I’ve been going down the physical AI rabbit hole ever since. Over the last few months, I’ve looked at dozens of crypto + robotics projects. Most are chasing a narrative. But a few are building things that real robotics companies actually use. Here’s my take on the crypto physical AI projects doing real work 🧵

Introducing Universal Manipulation Exoskeleton (UME) A low-cost exoskeleton with real-time haptic torque feedback for learning autonomous policies that perform highly force-mediated, tightly space-constrained, visually occluded, whole-body, and long-horizon mobile manipulation tasks. Using UME, the teleoperator can unsheathe a heavy metal sword completely blindfolded. ume-exo.github.io 🧵1/N

Physical AI is having its moment. Robotics, autonomous vehicles, interactive video. Underneath all of it sits the same primitive: a world model that predicts how an environment responds to action. There's a lot of debate about world models. JEPA vs. diffusion vs. autoregressive. How sim-to-real actually transfers. Nobody agrees on how to evaluate physical understanding. So @taiuti & @_bschmidtchen at @reactorworld , @ashray_malhotra at @Adobe, and I decided to put the top minds in the field in one room. On June 18 in SF, we're hosting World Models SF Summit, likely the first summit dedicated entirely to world models. Researchers, founders, and practitioners from @GoogleDeepMind @OpenAI @Meta @nvidia @theworldlabs @Tesla @Apple @Microsoft @Roblox and many strong startups in the space have already signed up. A few seats left: luma.com/hkik7xtr

I am new to Robotics Industry, 4 months now but it feels so good and positive. There are researchers left and right debating on stuff, companies growing & raising money. People here are actually trying to solve actual real issues that will make the World better (except the dancing & threatrical demos ofcourse 🤣) Just excited for the Future as i can see decades long business to be built here unlike the past industries i worked in have no future after a point. I have started reading research papers now, which i never did since i dropped out of college so good habit building industry as well!

To be fair, do you know a business for sure today that will exist after 10 years without pivoting/changing the bizz model? Very few businesses could be named, so its same for data companies they are giving shovels today, tomorrow they could AI deployment in companies, with time new models, new type of research will keep going, they will adapt. So RL env/a lot of other types of datasets will defo become irrelevant like text, audio data already but something would always be needed like rn physical ai needs a bunch of data for several types which will last for next 2 years

I’m curious how durable these RL env / human data companies are long term They’re essentially just selling shovels until the mine learns to dig itself If RSI takes off, models will generate, solve, critique, and expand their own curricula faster than any human can design new environments Feels very much like a business model with an expiration date They print money tho lol

This robot is being controlled by someone 5,500 miles away. This is a demo of our teleoperation stack at @Adamorobotics. The robot is in our London office. The operator is in San Francisco. The bottleneck in robotics has shifted from R&D to deployment. Robots still can't handle every edge case. When autonomy fails, you need a human in the loop, fast. We've built the fastest teleoperation stack on the planet for remote human control of any robot, anywhere in the world. This is what makes real-world deployment possible today. Every day, we power thousands of interventions for humanoid and autonomous vehicles, and we're only just getting started. You can now try it yourself for free, at adamohq.com
