My guess is they replace it with something vertical that looks like wood and put vines on it, whether real or fake. Just to modernize it. There’s not enough room back there to expand CityWalk, so this has to be purely modernization. Going with today’s minimalistic sterile theme park design philosophy. I’m in the extreme minority where I think Celestial park looks like a 2008 Outlet Mall in Duluth Minnesota. lol

@FrshBakedDisney @osujeff69 Both Stardust and the Carousel are equiped with the same trunstile connections as the portals. There's little plates in the ground to place the turnstiles.
