I love Space Mountain so so much at Magic Kingdom, it’s my fav version. But let’s be so for real for one sec… …NO WAY it passes a modern clearance test & the entire ride structure is SOOO grandfathered in its ridiculous. 😂 If it’s being changed, that’s why. OSHA said NOPE.

@_Kurt_Macklin_ Hey, I love the coaster. But all coasters have service life’s and need track replacements. So we just gotta hope they stick as close to the OG as possible.

I used OSHA to pretty much get the point across because I couldn’t think of the right agency. But yeah the point is that beauty of a steel structure would no way be built today 😂 Fingers crossed they can do a re-build close to the OG but I can see where that might be nearly impossible because of today’s standards.

@ParkObsession OSHA doesn’t regulate what you’re thinking of; it’s only for employee protection.

@ParkObsession Nah. The ride track is probably getting too fatigued and beyond repair without substantial retracking. They can weld and weld but eventually it's too far gone. The issue is retracking it all would require them to fix the clearance issues and many more id imagine

@howellsacto At the end of the day its structure wouldn’t be built today so I can bet it’s just time to update the entire thing.
