@soupformy_fam 75% of the trash processed at HERC comes from Minneapolis. That's 273,000 tons. It's your garbage and it's not going to magically disappear, so what's the plan? Truck it to a landfill outside of the County? Site and build a $5B incinerator elsewhere? Shoot it into orbit? Ideas?

@TRBusse There are several vacant parcels near the Mall Of America in the South Loop area. Build an incinerator there. The arrogance it takes to complain about not being able to burn your garbage in another city is wild.

Why are the entire @MSHSL basketball and hockey tournaments televised, but only the football championships? US Bank Stadium was built as a football/television studio so it should be easy to set things up. I’m sure it would out-draw another rerun of How I Met Your Mother. Anyone?

Started my Saturday at an inspiring celebration of our veterans, and ended the day at an equally inspiring celebration in support of the work done by @VEAPVolunteers. Spending time with people who challenge and inspire you is always a good thing.

At Monday's Council Meeting, I was honored to present Mayor Hiromichi Tsuji a special proclamation celebrating the 30th anniversary of @bloomington_mn's Sister City relationship with the city of Izumi, Japan. A special relationship between neighbors more than 6,000 miles apart!
