Kids are dabbling in Pokemon cards, but based on my decade of experience in online retail, it's pretty much impossible to buy this shit unless you're a reseller botting the site. Am I going to have to walk into an actual brick and mortar store for this shit or what?

@_deerfeeld Last time I did CCGs was 30 years ago with Magic, Star Trek, and Star Wars. Used to be you could buy a starter deck and supplement it with boosters. Don’t see much for starter decks anymore that aren’t themed and fancy and $129. How do I start these kids out?

@hellodonavon if you're looking to get packs, then yeah. but you're gonna have to walk into it knowing that opening sealed product tends to lead to wasting a buncha cash. i'd encourage buying singles online/from your local game store or going to a local card vendor trade show for collectibles
