@iiamkrshn the degree that was "in demand" when you enrolled is "oversaturated" by the time you graduate. three years and they can't even keep the lie consistent.
English

they removed the cheap option and kept the cheap quality. everything costs premium and breaks like it's disposable.
daz@MetamateDaz
we're at a point where there are no cheap options to retreat to and no price points that guarantee quality. Every rundown studio apartment is $1500, every fast food meal is $20, every luxury condo has razor thin walls, every $300 pair of boots falls apart. Endless expensive mediocrity.
English

@Fathers_Diary a man's worth is measured in what he provides. stop providing and you find out exactly how conditional everything was.
English

@middle_class_us printed trillions, opened the border, shipped the jobs overseas. and they genuinely can't figure out why people are living in storage units.
English

@DanielJHannan the entire income tax take doesn't cover the welfare bill. every worker in the country is subsidising someone who isn't, and it's still not enough.
English

@TheAliceSmith every time they "fix" prices the shelves get emptier. competition fixes what regulation breaks.
English

@jordanreviewsit the car lunch is sacred. 45 minutes of pretending you don't work here.
English

@NoContextBrits it's always £30 too. never £5 you can ignore, never £200 where you'd actually think about it. just £30, frequently enough to feel like a subscription to being alive.
English

@TremendousNukes bought a house for 20k, watched it hit 500k, and still managed to need a pension top-up. genuinely impressive.
English

@WorkMemesDaily one bad meeting and you're searching "anything, anywhere" like a man possessed.
English

@AIInvestorHQ hard to invest when there's nothing left after rent, energy, and council tax. most people aren't financially illiterate, they're financially exhausted.
English

@SymoneBeez $38k in london where a studio flat costs £1,800 a month. they're not offering you a job, they're offering you a lifestyle downgrade with a lanyard.
English

@frontierindica half your salary goes to being allowed to earn the other half. rent near work, clothes for work, food at work. your job costs you a job.
English

Payday serotonin lasts about 4 hours until you realize that half that money is spent just to keep you employable. Rent near workplace, commute, formals, grooming, office socializing you never asked for. And the real cost isn't even money, it's time. It's difficult to gym consistently, can't spare time for a new hobby, can't take a weekday class. Your schedule belongs to someone else 5-6 days a week.
The real joke is what you're actually doing for 10 hours a day. Sending follow-up emails about follow-up emails, building presentations no one reads past slide 3, sitting in meetings to plan more meetings, copy-pasting template responses. You traded your youth and your body for busywork that barely needs a human.

@Sargon_of_Akkad the leader of a political movement was selling cameo videos. the guardian didn't humiliate him, he did that himself.
English

Farage was humiliated into not debasing himself for money.
Politics UK@PolitlcsUK
🚨 NEW: Nigel Farage is no longer taking Cameo requests due to "security concerns" after the Guardian published a video compilation [@Guardian]

@JackPosobiec 1.5 million metric tons imported every year while sitting on one of the biggest deposits on the planet. the US has everything it needs and chooses dependence instead.
English

There are massive copper deposits in Alaska that the United States refuses to touch
AJAC@AJA_Cortes
Fantastic! The US imports about 1.5 million metric tons of copper per year We need to mine our own again
