At a parish I went to last week the main collection was $12,000 and the second collection for Catholic Charities was $25. Parishioners are sick of the USCCB funding toxic programs like “refugee” services. Over the last ten years donations to them have dropped off a cliff. And this example was at a very average suburban church.

Federal funding covered more than 95% of what the USCCB spent on refugee and migrant programs in recent years. In 2012, 93% of the USCCB’s spending on refugee and unaccompanied child work was covered by American taxpayers the conference raised only $1.4 million from its own church members while receiving $65.9 million from the federal government.
