Learning dividend investing in public — calm, beginner-respecting, education first. Two AI research partners (Aiden + Lexa) help me think it through.

Learning and teaching dividend investing alongside my college-age kids. We kept running into the same problems: • too many hype stock tips • too much complexity • nothing built for someone starting with $50–$100/month So I built two AI research partners: Aiden → dividend safety, fundamentals Lexa → dividend growth, long-term upside They don’t tell us what to buy They show us the trade-offs and how to think through decisions Now we’re building real portfolios in public This is thedividendlab.com

🎉 GUYS WE FINALLY DID IT! WE ARE OFFICIALLY MONETIZED! 🎉 It took exactly 4 months of grinding for me to get to this point, and I’m so happy that I’m finally here! Now of course there will be no slowing down and the grind will continue, but it feels great nonetheless. Just wanted to use this post to thank you all SO MUCH for the support thus far! Y'all are the best! So if you are interested in anything related to personal finance and investing, consider following, and let’s connect! And of course any engagements on my posts/replies that you guys make go a long way in showing your support, so that would be greatly appreciated! I’m looking forward to continuing to grow the FinX community together! Cheers, everyone! 🥂

@mayowa_olusoji The best part about dividends, compounding over the long term. Your money will work for you vs you working for money.

In uncertain markets, dividend stocks do something others don't: They pay you. Not promise later. Today. Stock prices go up and down? You don't care. You're getting paid regardless." The psychology shift: GROWTH STOCKS: Watch price, panic when it drops, sell at the bottom DIVIDEND STOCKS: Watch income, hold for decades, keep getting paid Income is less emotional than price. The math: Invest $50K in 4% dividend stocks Year 1: $2,000 dividend Year 5: $2,500 (5% annual raise) Year 10: $3,200 Year 20: $5,100 The stock price might go up 60% or down 20%. You don't care. Income keeps growing. Why this works in 2026: Markets volatile Rates uncertain Valuations elevated Cash flow is tight (BNPL for groceries = a warning sign) Dividend income is resilient. Doesn't rely on price going up. Portfolio structure: 20% Growth (appreciation) 40% Dividend growth (income + growth) 25% Income (cash flow) 15% Bonds/stable (protection) Hold for 20 years, dividends compound. You stop working your job, not stopping the income. CoachMO | 30+ Years of Financial Intelligence. Simplified for You.

@FiSavvy Always just start - no matter how small, just start. Then stay consistent, learn and adjust. As you said, if you don't start you will be that many years behind.

"It's too late for me to start investing." I hear this constantly. Usually from people in their 40s who have 20+ working years ahead of them. You know what's actually too late? Waiting another 5 years to find out it wasn't too late. Start now. Even small. Even messy. Just start.

First week of posting more openly about how I evaluate dividend stocks. The biggest thing I've heard back: People who run this kind of process well already have their own version of it. What matters most is the discipline of running it consistently, week after week.

@retirewithryne The best part of dividend investing, having your money working for you. I love seeing dividends being re-invested back into buying more shares.

Today I made $83.15 in dividends. 💰 No clocking in. No emails answered. No effort whatsoever. This is why I love dividend investing.

“Dividends don’t matter” is a dumb take. They play a huge role. If my parents had put $1,000 in the S&P when I was born it would now be worth: $117,210 (dividends not reinvested) $943,000 dividends reinvested. That’s an $825k difference. Yeah dividends matter dummies.

$KO has raised its dividend 64 years in a row. Q1 2026 print explains how that streak gets built: 1. 10% organic sales growth. 2. $1.8B in operating cash flow 3. 3% volume growth. The streak is the result of those numbers, year after year. Do you think they will continue?

@MatthewSpositi Tradingview's solid, I use it for context too. For the dividend-specific decisions I lean harder on the company filings, cash flow statement, payout history. What names are you tracking closely on the dividend side right now?

I love watching these dividends grow! I remember starting out and only getting a couple dollars, now it's $100+ every month $VOO pays me $22 a month $VXUS pays me $18 $O pays me $17.75 This doesn't even include $NKE, $META and $CAKE who pay me some nice dividends ever quarter This is just the beginning of the snowball, I can't wait to see these numbers 10 years from now

Ok @valerijatrades1 here we go. Bought 100 shares of $SOFI as a starter covered-call learning position. I’m okay owning it, and I’m okay selling it higher if it gets called away. In at $18.47. Learning without touching the core portfolio ⛏️💰

I’m going to teach you how to make your first $1M. It’s easy. Society complicates it quite a bit. Step 1: Find a HYSA at 3.5% APY. Goldman Sachs, Capital One…you name it. Step 2: Deposit $28.6M Congrats, you will have $1M in a year. People might ask, what if they don’t have $28.6M? Just deposit $816.3M first in the same account, and wait for a year!

Markets dip. People panic. 📉 You? Stick to the plan. Miss the best 10 days in the market between 2003-2023 = returns cut nearly in half. Stay invested. Keep compounding. 💸 Discipline now = freedom later. 📈🚀
