UK bans tobacco (all nicotine products) for people born after 2008. Where does a zero risk society stop? Will we ban alcohol later, then candy? Climbing trees in your garden without a helmet? Getting a buzz is human thing. Life is not about maximizing health.

@ThomasVanRiet2 About 1/4 the rate, at least current deaths per year. Tobacco also has significant secondhand effects (causing about 1.2 million deaths per year worldwide). Alcohol, of course, also has negative externalities such as DUI (about 300K deaths per year worldwide).

@Glinner This ingredients list is on Sainsbury’s ‘Cool Tortilla’ chips. By far the best, nicer than Tesco and M&S and if it’s true about Doritos and their ingredients list these are my choice.

This just happened completely randomly today to me on TikTok, which is a platform I love. I saw this scientist or doctor or something talking about Doritos and he used the phrase "Ingredients I can't even pronounce." And then almost instantly another video appeared with a completely different scientist/doctor, and he used the exact same phrase. So here's my question. Are Doritos safe or not?
