I can’t believe some people are happy that Cal AI got removed from the App Store. What’s wrong with you people? Since when did people become so cruel that they enjoy someone else’s failure? I’ve never been a fan of building in public, and I never will be. Being public mostly brings haters, copycats, and unnecessary negativity, with very little real value for the founders.

A friendly reminder: 1) Don't change your paywall after passing review. 2) Don't try to work around App Store payment rules, even if they are not explicitly prohibited. 3) Don't use gray patterns to push subscriptions: three paywall screens in a row, hard paywalls, hiding the price, etc. 4) Watch your refunds and bad reviews, they lead to complaints about your app. 5) Don't overprice, that also leads to complaints. 6) Watch for spikes in reviews and ratings, it's one of the reasons Apple suspects review manipulation. 7) Don't violate IP. Rights holders may turn a blind eye for years, until they don't. 8) Be careful who you grant account access to. It can create a connection to a previously banned account. Always remember: Apple gives us the right to publish apps, and can take it away just as easily. Treat that right with care.

Steve Jobs deserves a lot of credit but what Tim Cook has done with Apple is second to none. He took over after Steve, scaled Apple into a company worth nearly $4 trillion and delivered major products like Apple Watch, AirPods, Apple Silicon and Vision Pro. He led Apple in his own way and the company only got bigger. And let’s not forget, Steve personally chose him as his successor.
