Really disappointed in the customer service from @AmericanAir. As a loyal AAdvantage member, I explained family circumstances and asked for a one-time exception on a flight credit that expired a couple months ago. denied at every level. Losing the full amount over this is tough.

Didn’t expect this to resonate like this, but clearly I’m not the only one. When multiple customers are losing full flight credits with no flexibility, that’s not just policy, that’s a failure in customer experience. @AmericanAir

Didn’t expect this many people to share similar experiences. Definitely shows this isn’t just a one off situation. Still hoping @AmericanAir can take another look here and offer a reasonable solution.

@Tmason876 @AmericanAir I’m sorry @AmericanAir. I broke my elbow years ago & wasnt allowed to travel on a work trip. The flight credit was honored tho was past a year from when the trip was booked. Extenuating circumstances deserve to be considered-he’s not asking a lot. What do YOU have to lose anyway?

@boggsyNP True. But at the same time.. how is it hurting the company.. It’s 1,600 in flight credit I’m still spending with the airline.
