@HLMencat @boggsyNP I was in an exit row. And I paid for it. But then you are allowing passengers to sit in the exit row who did not pay for it and do not have status as you mentioned because they were standby. Should I get a refund then? Other airlines, such as United and JetBlue do not allow.

American Airlines you are going to lose me. @AmericanAir Platinum Pro here. Always secure exit row seats. Then you board people in this row last minute with no status or without paying. Just happened on AA3038 from Phoenix to DFW. Other airlines do not do this. Why?

@andrewmichta @united Ive flied plenty in Europe. Its not better.. most dont have wifi.European flights have coach seats for premium product. Rarely a meal choice. Live in lala land apparently. Yes could customer service me better yes. But its not as dire as american cry babies make it out to be

A quick observation about US domestic airlines. As a rule, I try not to complain about daily inconveniences, but my flight today to Houston on @united just did it. And mind you: I am a million-miler with them, which apparently means nothing. But my comments apply to all US domestic carriers overall, especially @Delta. Since I came back home from Germany over two years ago I have been flying quite a bit on our domestic airlines. BLUF: They should rank among the worst in the world-too often I have ended up on old dirty airplanes with surly flight attendants, practically zero service, regardless whether you fly economy or first class, the check-in process that reminds me of drill sergeants barking orders at recruits, frequent aircraft breakdowns and missed connections, and delay, after delay after delay. All the while the prerecorded monotone tells us how much they care about us, how important we the passengers are, and our safety. The quality of service across the board is a good indicator od the condition of our society. US domestic carriers don’t care because there is no real competition here anymore when it comes to air travel. Planes are routinely overbooked, delays make travelers miss their connections and nobody cares. On board you are treated like a nuisance. So today it finally hit me why this is happening: to US domestic carriers we are no longer passengers; we are self-loading cargo. And so it goes….

Really disappointed in the customer service from @AmericanAir. As a loyal AAdvantage member, I explained family circumstances and asked for a one-time exception on a flight credit that expired a couple months ago. denied at every level. Losing the full amount over this is tough.

Can't say I'm surprised to see @AmericanAir now selling water bottles in the Admirals Club. $3 per bottle at LAX. The crazy thing is that if you walk into a Provisions (their grab-and-go lounge), you can get all the bottled Acqua Panna and Pellegrino you want for free.

I’m Executive Platinum. Platinum Pro for life. I carry the credit card. I gave this airline 20 years and more money than I care to calculate. And I board third. Behind the people who bought Basic Economy and paid $50 for the upgrade I used to earn with loyalty. Group 1 on American Airlines is the angriest boarding group in America. We spent years earning status. We flew the red-eyes. We took the connections. We sat through the delays. We chose AA over cheaper options because loyalty was supposed to mean something. Then American decided our upgrade was worth $50 to a guy in flip-flops who booked on Kayak an hour ago. That’s not a revenue strategy. That’s a betrayal with a boarding pass. Four hours on American in 2026: the flight attendants get up twice. Once for drinks. Once for trash. That’s it. They sit behind the curtain for three and a half hours like they’re in witness protection. This isn’t a one-time thing. This is standard operating procedure. Ask anyone in Group 1. I spend $50,000 a year on other airlines now. Alaska treats my status like a gift. Delta flight attendants have that southern charm and work the cabin like they want to be there. Cathay puts me in a flat bed with pajamas. JAL treats a domestic flight like a ceremony. Qatar practically bows. Every single oneworld partner honors my loyalty better than the airline that issued it. I used to sell to AA. Back in the day they were the gold standard. The crews took pride. The operation ran tight. Now the flight attendants act like YOU are the inconvenience. AA international is a domestic airline cosplaying as a global carrier. Outdated product. Nonexistent service. Lounges that embarrass the alliance. Other than Spirit — which isn’t an airline, it’s a hostage situation with wings — is there a worse carrier in America? When an Executive Platinum boards third, gets two cabin visits in four hours, and spends $50K everywhere except AA — that’s not a preference change. That’s a divorce. I don’t hate American Airlines. I’m disappointed in them. After 20 years, that’s worse. Fix the upgrades. Fix the boarding. Fix the service. Fix the attitude. Or keep selling my seat to flip-flop guy for $50 while your best customers spend $50,000 somewhere else. Write that down, Robert Isom. Now I want yours. Drop your worst AA story below. Everyone who’s flown American has one. Tag @AmericanAir. Let them see what their best customers actually think.

American Airlines quietly changed Basic Economy so you can’t earn miles OR use miles to upgrade. Business travelers forced to book lowest fare by employers now lose loyalty benefits entirely. That’s how you push frequent flyers to Delta. 😡 @AmericanAir

Another stellar example of @AmericanAir incompetence. Inbound flight hasn't taken off, takes about 50 minutes to turn the aircraft. It will be about an hour late but American is telling everybody on the flight to get to the airport for on-time departure! When will this end!?
