This is where I disagree with the with KATH doctors. We must weigh the pros and cons of every single actions. In this instance, could they not have issued a public condemnation for the minister's decision to suspend the CEO and also shown solidarity with the CEO by backing the temporary interventions of management without resorting to strike? I think there are ways to show solidarity and put pressure on political authority without unnecessary cost to patients

@mr_mnsa The issue isn’t that they’re unemployed The problem is that they have left the country. They’re in private practice They’re not in the public health care system. That’s the issue Honestly Ghanas health space is not attractive So people leave when they get the opportunity

There 15000 doctors registered with the medical and dental council. Out of that only 4000-5000 Are practicing in the country, We are way below the number we need. I don’t know why such an antagonistic approach has been taken in dealing with issues in this sector. It’s sad !

But Craniometry, Drapetomania, Dysaesthesia Aethiopica and Polygenism to name a very significant few were all published scientific literature justifying such classifications and blacks’ 3/4 status as citizens.
