Every four years Ghana holds an election to decide who manages its dependency on external creditors and foreign markets. The question of ending that dependency never really reaches the main political stage.

What ¢23 got me at the Atonsu market this morning. If you factor garlic, tomatoes and, onion and meat, which I already have in the house, we have serious feeding problem for a country with ¢21.77 as DAILY MINIMUM WAGE. Relative to our wages, food is too expensive here!

Ghana allocates more of its national budget to debt servicing than to education and health combined. Every year that continues, the next generation inherits a deeper hole than the one before it.

@nick_nii_sai It's unfortunate. I've been thinking through and through about the way out and forward for Ghana. I haven't reached a better path yet.

The churches in Ghana have the numbers to determine the outcome of an election. I think the churches must come together, select a leader to contest for President.

It's unprofessional for doctors at Okomfo Anokye to go on strike because of their CEO. There are different ways to handle issues but not to let ordinary citizens suffer the consequences of someone’s position.

BREAKING: Doctors at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) declare an indefinite strike effective today following Health Minister Kwabena Mintah Akandoh’s suspension of the hospital’s CEO.

@drgyimah Strange, isn't the CEO a government appointed person? If so and the employer suspends the CEO should the workers go on strike affecting the business, in this case, lives?

There must always be a higher threshold for essential service workers to embark on strike. KATH doctors striking in solidarity with their suspended CEO doesn't cut it for me. There are other ways to do that without burdening patients
