@NimraShahzadin First off, it's beautiful and you should feel lucky he bought you one at all. Secondly, after you're married for 20 to 30 years he may just upgrade it. Thirdly, they sell wedding bands that wrap around the ring adding extra detail and beauty.

Ladies… I really need your honest advice My fiancé gave me this ring, and I feel terrible even saying this… but I don’t love it It’s pretty, but it’s just not what I’ve always dreamed of. I imagined something a bit more special, something that makes me feel excited every time I look at it. Now I feel stuck between not wanting to hurt his feelings… and not wanting to wear something for the rest of my life that I’m not truly happy with. Am I being ungrateful? Should I talk to him about it… or just accept it and move on? Please be honest, I really need your opinions

@lbr924 @L77884Stephanie @WallStreetApes It was expensive then when minimum wage was 4.25/hrs. And a full time might have paid 8.00/hrs. We didnt have cell phones so no expense there. We slept on a mattress on the floor and took hand me down furniture and kitchen supplies. Nothing was brand new.

@TrishSumner1 @L77884Stephanie @WallStreetApes We still work 2-3 jobs for ours and have roommates too. What exactly do you think you did that was so special? The cost of housing far outweighs the average pay at a disproportionately larger rate compared to even 20 years ago and certainly compared to when you were young.

Young Americans are having mental breakdowns realizing the cost of rent, gas and life means they’ll never be able to afford anything They are breaking down knowing that no matter how much they work, it all just goes to monthly bills they still cant afford This is unsustainable

@IronStringProj @L77884Stephanie @WallStreetApes That wasn't the point. The point is we didnt complain about the price of housing we just worked to afford it. We didnt pay for cell phones, most slept on a mattress on the floor and took old hand me down furnishings.

@PrimeTimeDino @LonghornJoker @bshucart Is it really reasonable? We are a new creation. Didn't Jesus say if you hate your brother you've committed murder? Meaning the act is not the issue but the heart's desire.

@NJBeisner But one does say including the medical community one is born an alcoholic/drug addict. So that is an identity. Fact is Bible makes clear we are born into sin so we are born that way doesn't make it less a sin.

Just popping in to say like Paul, I’m chief among the sinners. I am incredibly and remarkably sinful. It’s simply not true that I inordinately focus on homosexuality while ignoring other sins or my own. However, it is true that homosexuality is one of the only sins that’s fiercely guarded as integral to identity. Most other sins, we all agree are sins. Even nonbelievers think they’re bad. And even if we have a sin like, say, fornication that nonbelievers don’t think is bad, it’s still not heavily guarded as an identity. No one says, “I was born a fornicator.” Although we’re all born in sin, homosexuality seems to be unique in that it’s not only held up as amoral or even virtuous, it’s also elevated to the place of “identity” and “who I am.” And unlike with other sins, people act shocked when Christians say they believe it’s sin because God says it’s sin. That was the purpose of this post—not to elevate myself as above gays, which I am not.

Why are people always surprised Christians believe LGBTQ is a sin? We’ve been at this for thousands of years. Why is it surprising? The Bible doesn’t update with the times.

It appears, at least from observing the work of Twitter Calvinists, that they are far more committed to winning Christians to Calvinism than with reaching for lost for Christ.

@JadeK526 People are ruffled waaay too much about whether a stranger's genitals match their mental picture of their gender... When really they should be questioning why that is on their mind in the first place.

An American buys a $138,000 home. She sends the bank $9,286. After interest, taxes, and insurance take their cut, ONLY $952 actually touches the loan. $8,300 is PURE interest. This isn’t paying down a mortgage — it’s usury, and it should be ILLEGAL nationwide.

@Mikeliberation It's your dad's birthday, not yours. Have you bothered to ask him if he wants cake or are you just making the decision for him like he's a child. My siblings and I, chose a quality of life over quantity for my father. He deserved to be happy his remaining days.

My dad’s birthday is next week—he’ll be 78 years old. Ever since he turned 70, I’ve been having issues with my siblings because they always insist on bringing a cake. I don’t like the idea of him eating cake because it contains a lot of sugar, which isn’t good for his age. Every year, after some arguments and back-and-forth, they still go ahead and get the cake for him. So this year, I told them clearly that nobody should bring a cake—that we should agree on something else. I’m the firstborn, so I expected them to at least consider my opinion. But since last week, they’ve stopped picking my calls. The funny thing is, my dad is the kind of person who will eat anything you give him. He doesn’t really consider his age, even though he still looks quite strong and healthy. And honestly, I’m serious about this. This time around, I won’t allow my dad to eat any cake. I'm trying to protect him from sugar. Am I being too controlling?

@Soteriology101 He was speaking with Jewish leaders who knew the laws, prophecies etc while Jesus was here. The whole concept of election is regeneration so one is able to see and hear the gospel and be able to make a choice. Before regeneration the choice is going to be the same, rejection.

“[Paul] witnessed to them from morning till evening, explaining about the kingdom of God, and from the Law of Moses and from the Prophets he tried to persuade them about Jesus.” Acts 28:23 If Paul believed that God unilaterally causes His elect to have faith why would Paul spend all day long trying to persuade them? Anticipated answer: “God uses means.” If the means of getting faith is proclaiming gospel to a regenerate person, what do the means of persuading someone all day accomplish that would not be accomplished by simply proclaiming the gospel to someone who’s regenerate?

@Zungenrede_ch @WWUTTcom @grok The fact you have to use grok to prove a point just shows anything you say is not of God. Grok is not the authority on truth, God is. And He laid it out in scripture. This conversation is over.

The number one argument against the doctrines of grace (Calvinism) is, "But free will!" I don't care about free will. My free will is a sinful, stupid idiot. God has saved me by His grace and gave me a freed will. And with it, I will praise Him!

@MatrixMysteries She says unexcused absences. If she allowed the absences then why are they unexcused? She pretty much states she allowed them, so it's her neglect to call or send a note concerning the absences that is the issue.

@hillbillythings All sin is equal. All sins stem from the 7 deadly sins. Because as Jesus stated, its not from the act itself but what's in the heart. If it was just a matter of action we'd have no need of Christ at all. There is only 1 sin outside the scope. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

All sins are not equal. There are worse sins than others. Protestants will never grasp this until they come to the fullness of truth.

@Zungenrede_ch @WWUTTcom No, you possess a lie, your declaration is false. God's declaration is always and will be always correct. Therefore your own disagreement with it is pride.

Okay, so that’s how this works: 1. I declare that I possess the truth. 2. The truth I possess (by virtue of my declaration) states that anyone who disagrees does so out of pride. 3. You disagree; therefore, you are proud. 4. You will remain proud until you admit I'm right Did I get that right?
