Nowadays, multi-alignment is both responsible and pragmatic.

Honoured to see this engagement at the Manekshaw Centre, empowering Defence MSMEs — a vital force behind India’s self-reliant defence ecosystem. Kudos to @DefProdnIndia & @SIDMIndia for this initiative.
A special moment of pride remembering Gen. O. P. Malhotra, former Chief of Army Staff (1978–81) — whose leadership strengthened operational readiness and upheld the finest traditions of the Indian Army.
I also cherish the privilege of meeting him at his residence in Delhi, along with @UTobyM — a moment that left a lasting impression of his humility, clarity, and dedication to the nation.
His legacy continues to inspire both those in uniform and those contributing to India’s defence capabilities.

Diplomacy is yielding results. @DrSJaishankar confirms talks with Iran have successfully opened the Strait of Hormuz for two Indian tankers—with no quid pro quo offered.
This is the power of 🇮🇳 multi-alignment in action. Real results for our energy security and the economy.

The Rise of David: How the Swarm Defeated the Fleet.
Yesterday (March 17, 2026), President Zelensky addressed the British Parliament and NATO Chief Mark Rutte with a message that should put every traditional navy on notice.
Since 2022, Ukraine’s sea drones have evolved from simple kamikaze models to turret-equipped hunters capable of downing helicopters and fighter jets from the water.
The math is undeniable. By 2026, Ukrainian forces have sunk or damaged over 30 Russian vessels. This isn't just a tactical win; it's a demonstration of low-cost asymmetric warfare neutralizing a superior navy.
Zelensky’s reference to the Strait of Hormuz is the real shot across the bow. If a nation can secure a chokepoint with a swarm of $50k drones instead of a $2B destroyer, the traditional power dynamic of the high seas is gone.
In 2026, David doesn’t need a sling. He needs a drone from @DynautonSys.

The Elephant & The Ant
Ancient Wisdom Meets 2026 Warfare.
There is an old Indian fable about a proud elephant that bullied a colony of ants, crushing their homes and spraying them with water. Tired of the arrogance, a single tiny ant crawled inside the elephant’s trunk and began to bite.
The massive beast—unstoppable in a head-on fight—was brought to its knees by an opponent it couldn't even see.
The Lesson for 2026:
The Elephant is the 20th-century military industrial complex: heavy, expensive, and armored. The Ant is the $20,000 drone swarm.
Ukraine and Iran have shown that you don't need to match an elephant's weight to defeat it. You just need to find the "trunk"—the sensory systems, the logistics, and the economic cost-exchange ratio.
The Shift:
Size used to be a deterrent. Now, in the era of Asymmetric Mass, size is often just a bigger target. The "Goliath Trap" isn't just a theory; it’s a reality that was predicted thousands of years ago.

We are witnessing a 'Goliath Trap.'
The world’s military superpowers - USA, Russia, Israel - were built for a 20th-century playbook: Shock & Awe. Heavy armor, $100M fighter jets, and $4M interceptor missiles. Powerful, Expensive, and increasingly a liability against a new kind of math.
Ukraine and Iran have cracked the code of future wars. It’s not about having the best weapon; it’s about having the most expendable ones.
By using Asymmetric Mass—swarms of $20k drones and low-cost missiles—they force Goliaths to spend millions to defend against thousands. When the cost-exchange ratio is 100:1, the defender loses the economic war before the first shot is even fired.
The battle-sphere has been democratized. We’ve moved from exquisite tech (few, expensive, perfect) to 'combat-mass' (many, cheap, and 'good enough'). In 2026, air superiority isn't won by a stealth jet anymore—it’s won by the side that can saturate the sky until the enemy runs out of interceptors.
The era of the 'unbeatable platform' is over. The era of the swarm has begun.
The challenge for the defense industry isn't just building better tech—it's building at scale, at speed, and at a price point that makes the 'Goliath Trap' irrelevant.
This is the shift we're driving at @DynautonSys.

You've touched upon an important aspect of Drone Warfare in future.
Manned-unmanned teaming is the system-of-systems approach that defines the 6th generation of air dominance. In this model, a manned fighter will be a flying command center coordinating a team of highly capable Drones (Collaborative Combat Aircraft).
Some of these will be missile trucks, others will carry sensors and/or EW payloads. Since they're unmanned, they will be attritable, dangerous and designed to perform extreme high-G maneuvers.
English

@UTobyM Expendable, very expensive and doesn’t provide air superiority for land forces to operate with impunity. Drones/HGVs will provide asymmetric threat against larger forces in specific scenarios. But real dominance will be achieved by 5/6th gen man unmanned teaming .
English

@UTobyM Iran has very asymmetrical geographical advantage, where it needs to disrupt even one Tanker to instil fear in shipping insurers.
Russia’s inability stems from SAMs probably.
Drones are playing a vital role but nowhere near close to replacing tradition air superiority.
English

@TamrajKilvwish On a continental scale, where distances exceed 2,000–5,000 km, drones will be substituted with Long Range Missiles and Hypersonic Glide Vehicles (HGVs).
English

@UTobyM Let’s see these drones gaining advantage in vast oceans and across continents first. Choking a 20 mile wide kill zone is just one very specific use case given the geography of Iran.
English

@TamrajKilvwish Good point.
Still, we have two current case studies to inform us about the future:
1. US and Israel have absolute superiority over Iranian airspace. Yet...
2. Russia's inability to achieve total air superiority against a much smaller Ukrainian Air Force...
English

@UTobyM Nothing can replace traditional air superiority at the moment. Iran is only getting away because of it’s geography and leverage it has over surrounding nation's economic assets.
