2.5 million adults in the Nordics own crypto!
We're proud to announce the launch of the 2026 edition of the Nordic Crypto Adoption Report - the largest and most widely cited study on crypto ownership and trends in the Nordic region.
A few highlights:
🔹 2.5 million adults in the Nordics now own crypto - an increase of 326.000 new owners since the 2025 edition.
🔹 This brings adoption rates to 11.1% from 9.6% last year.
🔹 Young adults prefer crypto over stocks: Across Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, 1.53 million adults under 40 own crypto versus 938.000 who own stocks.
Needless to say, this can have large implications for institutional adoption, regulatory and political attitudes towards and engagement with crypto, as well as the role of Nordic crypto and blockchain companies in creating the digital financial infrastructure of the future.
