@RetronicGamer @disclosure2x @WiggerMaggot wasnt the whole point of the newgen covies being jul 'mdama just straight up lying about their beliefs to a group of elites on an isolated sangheili planet? jul being the main leader of the new covenant knew it was all fake and used their beliefs as a way to kill all of humanity.

@pansycacke07 @RetronicGamer @TheConnorDawn not only that but guilty spark literally states that humans are forerunners right after lasering johnson on the final mission of halo 3. but the terminals conflict with that revelation so its a bit weird how they were trying to go along with pre-historic humans.

ONE example i can think of rn is when guilty spark is aboard PoA on the maw and talks about their datalogs (presumably) as "all of our lost time"

In my opinion, I think this twist would've made Halo just another boring Sci-Fi where humanity is actually the super secret ultra awesome best race in the universe responsible for all good and cool things.

The original big reveal of Halo 2 (which was meant to be long enough that it also contained all of Halo 3) was the Arbiter opening up an ancient Forerunner sarcophagus and seeing a human skeleton inside

@MetaDemonReal @NocontextRvB i mean things HAPPEN i guess but nothing much is done throughout the campaign. the banished still exist, we still dont know who the endless are and what their goal is, and all that IS done is the defeat of both Escharum and Xalanyn, and the discovery of Cortana's sacrifice.

@NocontextRvB this is by far the most definitive ranking ive seen so many ppl sleeping on odst's more grounded storytelling. also finally someone putting infinite rly low. sucks how much the story is just them trying to fix whatever halo 5 was trying to do while making questionable decisions.

@BoughMother @InsaneSauces @logorn_gadum i feel like vehicle gameplay has always been like this in halo but holy shit it fucking sucked in infinite especially on launch when one side could just spawn with a tank while the other had the shitty ass wraith. especially when every weapon tickled the tank back then.

@InsaneSauces @logorn_gadum Like it might as well have been a Splaser with how often my hornet or banshee would fall out of the sky from nothing.
My only indication of being hit was my shield being tickled or me plummeting to my literal death on some maps.
Vehicle gameplay was *terrible* in Infinite.

I’m not sure I’m a fan of this new Halo. I mean, they redesigned Chief and you can’t even see his face anymore. And Makee was nowhere to be found in that trailer. 😔
