I could tell you why it's not a red, but doubt there would be any point. If you see how he retracts his foot the instant the contact happens, that's something you can't do with intent in that situation, there is contact and it looks ugly because of the spot, but there is close zero power in the contact. It should have been a yellow, but VAR can't go back and give yellow cards.
