@WokeIsEvil

Atheism is the rejection of the principle of sufficient reason and is therefore a fundamentally irrational worldview

If the Church focuses on its mission to shepherd souls into heaven, then it will as a byproduct solve the other issues it cares about. Maybe the best solutions to political problems is NOT getting bogged down in political squabbles.
Bishop Fulton Sheen@Bishop_Sheen

World wars are only projections of the conflicts waged inside the souls of men and women, for nothing happens in the external world that has not first happened within a soul.

Jesus didn’t skip the womb.
He entered it. If that doesn’t shape your view on abortion, you’re missing something.

@MistyBluefla I love Cardinal Sarah but you have to remember that we exist in a world that is ordered by the providence of God. Even if we don't understand it, I do believe it was God's will for Pope Leo to be chosen and not Cardinal Sarah. God knows better the consequences of this Papacy.

@CatholicCharm I'm not accusing you personally of anything, by the way. I am just saying this in general, to the world, because a lot of people let their annoyances carry them way too far off course. I think your defensive attitude towards the Pope is a good instinct.

@CatholicCharm The Pope is the vicar of Christ and the Church is God's chosen means for communicating His grace to the world. We must support these things with our prayers, even if we are personally annoyed or frustrated. Annoyance is not a valid excuse to write all of this off.

The way I feel about the pope is the way I feel about my mom. If she annoys me I can complain about her but if someone else insults her I will end their bloodline

This is why we have to pray to the Church and our leaders. This is NOT a reason to leave the Church or to hate anyone. The Church is God's chosen means for communicating His grace to the world, therefore you MUST support it through prayer.

I think it would be spiritually healthy for all people to pick one person that they really disagree with, whose opinions they find stupid or whatever, and to genuinely pray for and try to love that person in their mind. Just try it as like an experiment.

My fellow Catholics, I think it is important that we listen to what the Pope says directly, and not listen to what OTHER people SAY the Pope says. Follow up: even if you disagree with the actual Pope, that's not a reason to hate him or assume malice on his part. PRAY for him.

@rnewton7777 @ryancohen I sold it all. All trump supporters are retarded. Can’t think straight in their head. It’s definitely a mental disease.

@tdotran2018 @rnewton7777 @ryancohen It is important to pay attention to the facts. There is no credible evidence Trump has done something like that. The FBI concluded that all of those tips were not credible. You might want to believe Trump is evil incarnate, but ask yourself WHY you want to believe that.

@rnewton7777 @ryancohen I hope not. The Epstein files are disturbing and disgusting and anyone who’s in that harmed little kids should not be an idol.

CHILDREN ARE NOT FOR SALE. The Christian church *must* tackle surrogacy. We can't ignore it. We have to fight it. We must ban it. It should be illegal to buy babies. Every child is a bearer of God's image. Every child needs a father and mother. CHILDREN ARE NOT FOR SALE.

@TheRealMadOx These are good reminders but to be fair, Pope Leo is far from these examples. At worst his messaging is confusing and perhaps his priorities are a bit out of whack, and maybe he's wrong about a few things on complicated matters. But I think he seems like a morally good man.

History doesn’t pretend every pope lived a holy life. Take Pope Alexander VI. His papacy was marked by corruption, political maneuvering, and personal scandal. He advanced his family’s power, fathered children, and treated the office more like a throne than a calling. It was a dark chapter that showed how far leadership can drift when power outweighs principle. Then there’s Pope John XII, who became pope as a teenager and quickly gained a reputation for reckless and immoral behavior. Contemporary accounts accuse him of turning the papal court into something closer to a den of excess than a place of spiritual authority. His life reflected chaos, not discipline or doctrine. Pope Benedict IX may be the most shocking of all. He held the papacy multiple times and is widely reported to have sold the office outright. His reign was defined by instability, scandal, and open abuse of power. It stands as one of the clearest examples of how badly leadership can go off track. Even in matters closer to doctrine, Pope Honorius I became entangled in theological error and was later condemned by the Church. While not a formal reversal of doctrine, it showed that even popes can contribute to confusion when they are not grounded in truth. History is clear. The office has endured flawed men before. And like some popes of the past, Pope Leo XIV could be following in their footsteps.

.@POTUS: "I have nothing against the Pope... If the Pope looked at the 42,000 people that were killed over the last two or three months, as [protesters] with no weapons, no nothing... I have a right to disagree with the Pope."

@coffee_nakayama I'm a foreigner and a Catholic so my perspective might not make sense but here's how I see it: There is one true God who created all of reality including you. God's act of creation is an act of love. You are loved and valued by God; the circumstances of you life don't erase that.

When I meet new people and they ask me, "So, what do you do?" I like to respond with a random list of daily activities that have nothing to do with my career or how I earn money. Try it. It's fun.

I think that leftists, even those in the Catholic Church, often have a materialist worldview. To them, the only problems that matter are physical, financial, etc. They ignore the spiritual too much. It makes them superficial and ineffective.
