Coot 1 is out and it’s cooler than ever!🎉 #ccp4 ✅ the GUI has been re-implemented ✅ the graphics has significantly improved, you can now export maps and models as glTF files to be used in #Blender3d and other 3D software. ✅ coot is now a module to be imported in Python 3

This deceiving grid tricks you into thinking there's a curved line somewhere, but you can't find it. The purposefully placed gray lines of squares in a curved formation will induce your peripheral vision to interpolate curved lines [read more: buff.ly/3oKqWXa]

The Noinaj lab has minted its first PhD! Big congratulations to Dr. Ravi Yadav on successfully defending his thesis! He has does exceptional work in the lab and we're excited to see what he will accomplish in the future.

Our newest work on BAM is now out in @NatureComms led primarily by grad student/cryoEM wizard @WuRunrun! Here we characterize the conformation of BAM both natively and with trapped substrate intermediates! Congrats to all the authors! nature.com/articles/s4146…
