I understand non-Jews having this impulse but we need to expect Synagogues to separate themselves from Israel, they are very much doing the exact opposite of that in nearly every Synagogue. Why should they be separated from the consequences of Israel's behavior if they specifically help enable, fund and empower it? Until American Synagogues separate themselves from Israel, this kind of thing will become more common, and they know it. I am NOT endorsing attacks of ANY religious places of worship, but to say Synagogues are separate from Israel fails to really grasp the nature of the situation. Israel killed children in this mans family. It is not antisemitic to ask how many members of this Synagogue are Zionists, how many donate to the IDF, or if they've sold land in the West bank.

I’m sorry, but we have different perspectives.” I asked my husband if she expressed any empathy for Palestine. He said no. She presented herself solely as a victim.
