I lived in survival mode for years. Controlling what I could. Bracing for what might go wrong. On the outside people thought I was strong, but on the inside I was broken. Something had to change. It wasn’t easy, it took time, a mindset shift, resilience, courage, but I managed to switch everything round. Giving up alcohol was the enabler for this switch. If this resonates, give this message a like or send me a DM.

@jonbrosio Whenever i recruit, 70% is about the persons character. Qualifications show that they might have a level of intelligence, but it doesn’t mean they will be any good.

It's crazy how many people collect degrees and certifications like they're building armor Hoping that enough credentials will protect them from having to take real risks Education is valuable But it's not a substitute for courage

You're a leader and you are drinking more than 5 nights a week, which is likely to be more than 50 units a week At some point you realise: No one is coming to fix this. That’s when you start the process.

A major cheat code in life: Your personality will get you 10x richer than your intelligence. Be easy to work with. Kind when others aren’t. Calm when things fall apart. Intelligence alone is overrated.

@DavidDack It depends what you are trying to get from your running. Both options have their place. Strength and conditioning along with building a good cardio base.

Alcohol doesn’t help you relax it delays your recovery. - You feel calmer tonight. - You pay for it tomorrow morning. That’s the trade. Decide if it’s still worth it.

Morning miles are the best kind of deposits. 🏃🏾‍♂️💨 5km in the books to set the tone for the day. Consistency over everything.

11 months sober. That didn’t come from luck, it came from showing up every day when I didn’t feel like it. No excuses. No shortcuts. Just one decision at a time.
